Wow folks. That had to be one of the closest LXOM votes to date. MattRobertson, RandomAccess and CBO are all assets to these forums, and I'm proud to even be listed among them. To have been chosen as LXOM... well I don't need to tell you just what an honor is truly is, especially when considering the quality of that list. So, from the bottom of my heart, I say thank you. You've, yet again, shown me just how privileged I am to be part of this community.

What a year, eh? When I was selected LXOM a year ago, we had made it thru the first GIFO, we didn't have any way to unlock our computers, mods were REALLY hard to come by AND, maybe the most dramatic of all, NillaBean looked like this:

http://www.lxforums.com/images/LXOM/coolvanilla2/1.jpg

As of today, we've now pulled off 3 more GIFOs, we have a programmer that seems on the verge of changing our LX experience for good, we have folks out there cracking the computer itself to give us undreamed of control, heads, cams, exhausts, suspensions, wheels galore, tires galore, gears, diffs, blowers and turbos... these are exciting times for the LX platform. And, to top all that off, 'Bean's looking considerably different:

Switching gears for a moment, the update on the home front is a great one. The career change I had just made a year ago is seeming to be the third best decision of my life. We've started to generate some excitement in a market that, for the last 10 years had basically died. We are far too busy, way behind and working our butts off every day, barely seeing our families in the daylight... just the way it should be in the beginning of a business that could propel us into retirement sooner than we all think.

What were the two better decisions I've made you ask? The second best has to be moving on from baseball and going back to college. Baseball was what I was for the first 20 years of my life. When my arm just couldn't take it anymore, it was obvious it was time to thank baseball for making me the man I am now, and for everything else it had given me. I did so, went back to college, got my CE degree haven't looked back since.

The first best decision? Asking that beautiful LadyNilla to marry me and saying "I Do" 4 years ago. We met in high school auto shop, and really grew up together. She's been with me thru it all and she has become my anchor. When, 6 months ago, it became clear this new business venture required us to move, she was with me 100%. She left her job of 9 years and found herself a new family to work with. I love her with all my heart and because of her, I am able to spend so much time with you folks on these forums and organizing things like the GIFO events. Besides, she's just so damn cool! (Here she is helping Bob at SVS unpack my new KWv2's):

http://www.lxforums.com/images/LXOM/coolvanilla2/4.jpg

So, what mods on the rig you ask? Well here we go:
-Fully functional shaker hood by mopower
-K&N Aircharger intake (until the pressurizing parts for the shaker are ready)
-Superchips 91/PK/RTM ect turn
-Zoomers exhaust
-KW v2 suspension
-Hotchkis sways
-Gibson shorties
-Diablo 20" Wishbone color matched wheels
-shaved everything
-color matched rear spoiler
-custom painted 1970 R/T badge
-color matched calipers
-custom R/T shift ball by ESAD
-HID headlights
-upgraded Infinity/Kappa speakers all around
-LED interior lights
-and a bunch of other minor stuff that all help make this one hell-of-a ride.

Coming imminently:
-Super secret head assemblies
-new super secret grill (next week!)
-new super secret chin spoiler (next week!)
-HHP high flow cats

Wishlist
-Crane cam
-MagnumFreak's Morpheus

To make a long story endless, let me again thank you folks. This community has truly brought me into contact with so many like minded folks; some of whom I've developed a genuine friendship with. I look forward to serving as a moderator for many years to come, helping to keep this place the way you've all built it. I guarantee more GIFO's will also come; some ideas floating are cams, heads, high flow cats, turbos... even an SE/SXT specific GIFO... sky's the limit.

Here's to another year guys and gals! :beerchug: I look forward to continually watching this platform mature, and be modified by everyone... we have so much to learn from eachother... it just plain gets me excited!

CV,
What a great addition to the Mag! I love the shaker and all the other subtle things you've done with it (like the hood is subtle !).

I would like to thank you on behalf of all the community members that you have welcomed and been willing to support. You have been a shaker and a mover long before the new hood. Because of your community ethic our group remains engaged and enthused. I don't know how you find the time, but I greatly appreciate the folks in any group that form the core of do'ers. Thank You

Ditto. We've talked of a calendar before, but it somehow got lost or dropped. At least I think it did.

Good Heavens what a bunch of kiss-ups! First 2 time winner, moderator of the Forum, what's next, Prom King???!!!

All seriousness aside, congrats CV and very deserving award although as you mentioned you had some stiff competition. All were worthy adversaries/friends that will no-doubt claim the vaunted honor in their own right very soon.

Great write-up. Happy to hear your new biz is going well, I've got a venture of my own going that I hope will spare me from 10 more years of drudgery before I can start enjoying life. Glad you look positively on your baseball career and have the maturity and brains to put it all in perspective. Hope you never lose your love for the game, I CALL CV FOR PITCHER ON MY TEAM AT THE "GIFO 15 AND LX-FORUMS BASEBALL GAME"!!!! Somebody write that down.

You are truly blessed to have found your lovely wife and convinced her you were worth her effort (j/k) and we are very fortunate to have you here with us.

This Forum was built on your tireless efforts and enthusiasm (along with those of several others too numerous to mention here) and I find myself having less and less time and patience with other web-based pursuits because I just can't seem to see all there is to see here and visit all the people I like here before it's time to log off and go to bed. That's a good thing.

Again, well deserved congrats.

Sincerely, Cadzilla74
