Hey guys, just trying to get an idea of whos doin the cruise Friday. I have to go into work and tie up some loose ends but i'll be packed up ready to go by 10:30. I'll start a list and just add your name and what time will be best for you to leave. Hopefully we can arrange a time to make everyone happy. Once we know whos goin then we'll work on a meeting spot convenient for all.

I thought people were kidding around! Jakk, would you like to chime in.... LOL. I'm easy either way, meet at Jaaks or a timmys near the highway or car pool lot etc.

We could all meet up at Jim's, Get on the road and stop off somewhere for lunch once we get moving. Snack on the road and then some dinner when we get there.
I'm gonna bring my 2-way cobra's.. that way I can give one to fred and tell him to slow the he!! down.. ;)
Anyone know if all the 2ways are interoperable? Would be cool since I am sure other people have them.. and would rather not use my cell phone constantly while driving.. heh

Come on Joe..... I don't speed, I'm just aggressive! Besides its a long cruise and I wanna see what kind of mileage I can get. Gonna taker easy on the engine so I can woop you on the course!

And we aren't able to run side by side.. so you won't get your competititive fix you crave all the time.. hehe
Reminds me.. gonna call autoworx and see if my headers have arrived yet... Gotta schedule the install and dyno runs.

I think that we could meet at a convenient Timmies, obvoiusly somewhere near the 401 for a pre-trip java. I'll let you buy that.

Thats a very gracious offer Jim, thankyou! However I'm with Dave on this.... Its a long drive and a timmys will do me just fine till were almost there. Besides man.... put that money aside for a mod!

Hmmm... looks like its just us three Dave...Hahaha! It should be a good cruise, set the cruise at 120 and sit back and relax.

We are going to hit the 401 out Belleville way around 8 am on the Saturday morning. We are going to stay at my in-laws on the friday night to break the drive up. If anyone leaves Toronto around 6 am they should hit Belleville ( highway 62 in Belleville) right around the time we are planning on hopping on the highway. Let us know and we could meet up with you.
Well if Hortons is fine, there's one just off the 401 at Weston Rd. Just take the off ramp straight through towards the Canadian Tire and it's on the left. Or perhaps off Dixie Rd. (but I can't think of a Horton's there...)

I will be keeping my WOT runs to a minimum as well. I used to drive this stretch of highway every weekend for nearly 2 years. Far too many OPP on the highway between toronto and prescott... Last time I got a ticket.. this time I won't.. cruise is gonna be locked, gonna sit back, chillax.. a bunch of 2-way's would be fun..

Jim the Horton's at 401 and Weston Road is a great idea, quick jump off of the highway and then right back on.
I will be there at 11:00am. We'll get everyone together and off we go.
And it's been decided, no speed demon stuff, set the cruise at 120 and we're golden.

Just a head's up, as you go along Hwy 401, you need to stay in the express lanes, past the airport and Eglinton Rd. Then you will want to keep to the right for the collectors to take you to Weston Rd.
The 401 is around 12 lanes wide at that point (not counting some construction that's going on...)

Hey jaak, been a long time since I was in Ontario, but here in Quebec, you can buy beer just about everywhere, including gas stations:wink: .
Never could understand why the stopped selling cigarettes in pharmacy's yet they sell beer in gas stations?:blam:
Yeah, kinda weird isn't it... With the strength of unions in Quebec, we still have them controlling the sales of beer here in Ontario.
Maybe they just have different priorities...

Not sure if I will have my headers installed by friday now. I have yet to hear back from Autoworx.. When I call they aren't sure where they are.. not sure when they are going to arrive and will need the car for a whole day... since I need to arrange a ride to/from mississauga, that only leaves thursday..
Had hoped to be able to run with the new headers.. oh well.
