The original message for this event is below, but I'm going to do this again... It's been way too long!

I have enquired about a tour at LMC and here's the response.

To summarise, they want $10 a head and need to know how many.

Bear in mind, doing a tour does impact their ability to use facilities, as they have to ensure the work shop is reasonably safe for a number of people to come through. (And I bet doing tours impacts their insurance on the facility.) As a result, IMHO, the $10 charge is not unreasonable, but it will likely separate out those of us that have no burning desire to attend.

During the tour we will take you through complete restoration facility, show the group all of our current projects and answer any questions you might have. Depending on the number of people attending we normally take groups back ten at a time. The rest of the group could look around the showroom and the Canadian Motorsport Hall of Fame. The CMHF recently moved into the facility and is currently showcasing some of the most remembered race cars in Canadian Motorsport history. There is a $5.00 admission to enter the facility (100% of proceeds go to charity) as well as a cost of $5.00 for the tour (proceeds going to Legendary).
Cameras are allowed in the showroom but NOT in the restoration facilities.
Due to privacy issues, we do not allow pictures in the shop.

Please add your name to the list at the end of this thread, if you are interested in attending. As we get closer to the event, I will post further details (as needed)

We're booked for Saturday June 17th, so it should be a great time for a visit! Legendary is open earlier, but grab an early lunch if you like and be there for 12:30 pm. Or if you like, show up a bit earlier and shoot the breeze!

I do need to track attendance numbers, so even if you'd like to go, but aren't sure, please add yourself to the list and indicate this.

This sounds good. LMC is in Milton right. If so, I went there last year and it was great but I didnt get to see the facilities. Just the museum. My dad and I could probably go at any date. My auto shop teacher lives near there and maybe he would like to go. I will get back to you about that one.

Just so happens I was watching speedchannel at 7 and the boys from LMC were down at GS motorsports and there were a couple of shots on a superchargr install on a magnum.

Hey Congrats Scott! Legendary Motor Car is just north east of the town of Milton, which for you probably means squat, being and east end boy... (Speaking from experience as I grew up in the east end and to me the map was very detailed up to Yonge St., then the airport, then Vancouver or something...

Of course my wife is a west end girl so for her it went to Yonge St., then Montreal, then Europe. LOL!

But seriously, It's the other side of Mississauga, from you. We love to see you there!!!

I also saw a Black SRT8 Charger today, but I didn't get a chance to talk to the guy for more than a few seconds as I was in the middle of business. At that point, I was wishing I had a "See me at LXForums" Card... He was a cool guy and I knew he'd like this group!

I love the Charger. The more the merrier! See if you can make it! (I hope to have a date nailed down, soon...)

I should clarify...I have a Magnum R/T, not a Charger. My son wished I bought a Charger, but now I have a Magnum, he always wants to go with me after I wash the car and "dry" it off on the highway. I guess I'm so used to all the Magnums on the forum I thought you had one too! I would love to see a yellow Magnum. Can't wait to see your Daytona!

How to find LMC... Basically take the 401 to Milton, get off at James Snow Parkway and go North to Steeles, turn right and drive to Fifth Line and left up to LMC on the left.

Yeah, it was in the front parking lot on the west side. If it was you, then I spoke to you about how much I loved the car and the colour! I was the only guy on the plant tour that didn't have an LX. I was driving a copper Murano at the time, but was ready to bail then. I figured I'd be able to get one January 2007. The gods were smiling upon me, however...

Hey Jaak,

You probably read somewhere that I also have "access" to a 300C SRT-8 as I negotiated my dad a pretty good deal on one. It's bright silver with every available option. It's a pretty sweet ride, but I still think it's more suited to someone his age, while the Yellow Charger is more suited to me.

Don't get me wrong, I love the 300C, but everytime I see one, the person driving is always late 40's or older. I have yet to see another Daytona Charger, so I guess it could be all older people driving those too!

Look forward to seeing everyone and their sweet rides. Sounds like we'll get a great turnout!

Hey Scott, Love the Daytona and seriously considered one myself. What can I say, there isn't a "bad" LX, and some certainly have their own character!

Right now, it's all a blur, so whatever! LOL!

John it was a pleasure to meet you today, and I love what you did to your Magnum, it's outstanding. Family? I think anyone who has a passion for these cars certainly has a bond, before we even meet.

I'll have to post some more detailed directions, but in short, west of Toronto is Mississauga, west of Mississauga is Milton, and LMC is just immediately north and east of the town of Milton. So you go west on th 401 to James Snow Parkway, and you're almost there. (Just as a rough idea).

It was about 20 minutes, if that, from where we were at the plant today.

Well, plan to be at Legendary between 12:30 and 1. I say target 12:30, then we can all smile, shake hands, complement each other on our great taste in vehicles, talk about how dirty my wheels are, etc...

So WallyMart is about 3 minutes from there, so take it from there. If you say, be at Walmart for 12:30, you're good. If you say, meet at the fallen arches on the 401 at Noon, you're good.

Shortcut, when you get to Derry, turn right and go to fourth line, then up. That becomes James Snow driveway. (It's really not long enough to be a Parkway! But it's understandable that a road named for the Minister of Transportation doesn't go anywhere.)

This way you can avoid the blindingly fast speed limits and stoplights on Ontario street, which you southerners call Bronte Rd. LOL! I lived in Milton for 9 years... Before they built all the new houses!

Working things backwards, it would be good to be leaving there at 12, so get there for 11:30, so leave home at 11. All rough times.

Sorry Russ, I feel badly too. I was in front of you trying to spot where the guys way in front of us were. I saw you behind me, then you were gone. Maybe someone turned onto the road between us? (I lost them the same way). I caught up to a couple of the guys who stopped at the turn-off to wait for us. We stuck around for a while and figured you probably stopped to take a cell call or something.

A few years back I was at the prior legendary location and one of the staff had a WILD K car with a hood like that. I thought it was a sedan not a wagon, but i'm not sure. He took it out for a test run while i was there. LOUD is not the word and no way was it front wheel drive.

That screwed me and my dad up as well. We went last August and the road was there but it wasnt anymore. We decided to follow it though. We saw a couple of members driving back the other way. That messed us up because we were going to start following them the other direction from LMC.

Bed moved while I was transfering in, feet slipped, broke my right tib & fib. The leg was at 90%. Put it back, climbed in bed, went to sleep, no alcohol involved. No pain until the morning. It transfered up my leg to my hip and groin, fun wow. Happy New Year to me!!:banana:
