I remember seeing a few comments about 22's and how they're not good for high speeds. Is this true? Why is that if so? One more thing, I thought that Weld was a supporting vendor, but it looks like they're not. Anyone know what happened?

Sstevens805,
Whether a wheel is good at high speeds or not does not depend on its diameter whatsoever. In other words, a 22" wheel is just as good at high speeds as an 18" or 20" or 24" will be. In fact, with the lower-profile tires on a 22" wheel, steering, braking and cornering will be more precise.

What does matter more is how well a particular wheel is balanced and whether the tire is suitable for high speed driving.

As for Weld Racing wheels, you can still get them for our LX cars through the Tire Rack (www.tirerack.com (http://www.tirerack.com/)) or I think you can buy them directly. However, while I find the styling and quality to be superb with Weld, I wish they came in wider widths and more radical offsets.

Wheel diameter has diddly do-dah with its high speed strength!

You think these aluminum wheels are weak?
How many inches you think this beastie is?
It went over 600 MPH..

Its CONSTRUCTION quality is what matters.
A very good quality wheel, finely balanced, with the best quality tires is what you should concern yourself over!
