Getting some srt wheels need help on tires

Should be getting my SRT wheels this week and still debating which tires to go with. My understanding is that the SRT's come with Goodyear F1 supercar summer performance tires in these sizes:

245/45 20 front
255/45 20 rear

I could pick these up for around 220 on tiretrack.com, but i was looking at those RSA's as well since they are year round tires. Anyways, I need some help. I could only find the 245/45 RSA tire for 165.00 a piece, but the 255/45 are 339.00. Why the big difference? Do your SRT's come with Goodyear F1's or RSA's?

Any comments on the best tire and price for these wheels are welcome.

The factory SRT8's come with both. The "all-season" tire is the RSA in the 245/45 all around, and the "3-season" tire is the F1 with 245's in front and the 255 on the rear. If you're going to be driving these all year, i'd definitely go with the 245/45-20 RSA's all around. You'll also be able to rotate them. You might find yourself in a ditch if you try to use the F1's in the snow.

I ended up getting the 245/255 F1 setup for my MSRT8 wheels, then attemting to use my stock Conti's with 12000 miles on them for the winter - that didn't work here in MI. I ended up ordering a set of 235/60-18 Pirelli Scorpion Ice and Snow's for the stock wheels after the first snow. While these definitely worked better than the factory issue Conti's, I almost wish I would've gotten Blizzaks instead for ultimate winter traction. I was worried about the wear and dry weather driving on the Blizzaks.

The F1's are dangerous when it's cold (around freezing) and absolutely useless in the winter. You may as well drive in to a wall with them on. But when it's warm? I hope they're fabulous, I haven't found out yet!

I got my SRT8 the end of November and had to swap off the F1's immediately, because I didn't want to trash the car. Even on dry pavement, they had to be warmed up before they would stick.

I have the RSA's on my Chevy SSR and they're a great tire!

The difference in price on TireRack for the 245 vs the 255 RSA is because the 255 is a self sealer, and they are not "on special"

And you won't be able to fit a spare in the spare tire well with the 20's.
...just another thought in case you were going with all seasons, you may want to consider the EMT ones.

I have the RS-A 245's on the front and the 255 self sealing on the rear. The slightly taller and wider tire on the rear looks great. I have a Charger. I have
used RS-A tires prior on other vehicles, and they are a very good tire. They last forever. Make sure you rotate the fronts side to side periodically, which prevents "feathering" of the outside edges. I know the 255's are not cheap, but the staggered sizes look very good on the LX vehicles.

I have been giving serious thought to SRTs for my Magnum RT but the tire sizes and availability have been my issue. Looking at Tire Rack and they show the 245 45 20 at 28.7"D and 9.6"Section on 8" rim. However the 255 is shown as a 50 series and that measures 30.1"D and 10.4"Section on 8" Rims.

Question could you put the 255 50 20 on all 4 corners I too agree that filling out the wheel opening looks far better the key issue is that I do not know what the offset is on the SRT 8 wheel, and if that width would work. Any input you all might have would be really appreciated.

For those of you with an SRT-8 Magnum have you put 18 rims on with the Brembo Brakes for Winter time? If so what size rims, I was looking to do the same for some rear only Drag Strip wheels/tires
