HOUSTON - DALLAS meet planning

OK, I am having serious withdrawl symptoms. I have been with out my Magnum for a few months and I am thinking about shipping it to be with me in Houston. While in Phoenix I could cruise to the Pavilions every Saturday and maybe plan on a trip to the drags with a group of LX friends.

I just purchased a building in Houston that has parking for 1100 cars, located on I-45 in north Houston, and would like to see about getting a meet together at the property. Anybody out there interested? Southern Cal can get a few hundred cars together for a meet, how about here in Texas.

Hey, no, not Greenspoint, it is the old Garden Ridge building at I-45 & Airtex. Glad to see some interest, I would really like to get something going, anybody know of any of the area car dealers interested in supporting something, also any performance or other automotive based supporter, in Phoenix I could always call on some of the local suppliers of tires, wheels, etc. I don't mind spending some money to put this together, but I am more than a little lost as far as local contacts go.

Damn, that's even closer. You're right smack between 2 dealerships (Spring Dodge and Mac Haik Dodge) -- if we get serious, I'll volunteer to contact both -- bought my Mag at Mac Haik, and live just a stones throw from Spring Dodge. Maybe some of the other guys can talk to some of the other dealers.
If you ship your car in (man I'd love to see it in person) and we get a few SRT8's committed, maybe we can get the fire started.

I am going to try to get back to Phoenix this next weekend, and I may try to get to the Calif meet if I can still get in, I will try to arrange shipment of my car that weekend also.
I noticed the 300C Convert at that dealership, I think we could really make this happen, I will look at my calender in the next few days, and see if we can put a date to this. Got your PM I'll be in touch.

I spoke with John Hennessey today while I was driving his car up to my home in the bay area, and he said he was sorry he missed the event, and his offer to host A show and go at his race track in Houston still stands!!! Thank you all for a GREAT weekend. I hope to see you all again soon....

Sounds interesting. Someone should definitely get in touch with Hennessey about this meet on Armadillo's new property. Maybe Hennessey would be willing to have a booth at the meet and then take us to his track later????

Almost every Friday night and some Saturdays in Spring TX, at FM1960 and Aldine Westfield there are impromptu car get togethers. Behind Popeyes. Typically it is a younger crowd, but there are some nice rides.

go to 1st Light on 2920 (you're lookin @ Walgreens on Left -- make a LEFT
you are now on Spring Cypress -- stay on it for about 5-7 miles (guess ??)
@ the 6th stoplight you should be @ Champions Drive -- turn LEFT and turn Left into the Kroger parking lot
(actually you can turn into Kroger when you see Starbucks and Wendys on Spring Cypress before the light @ Champions).

to Mapquest it -- find intersection of Spring Cypress & Champions

To everyone who came out last night. Some I have met before, Bo and Dillo, and got to meet some LX members as well, you know who you are,lol. I am over at 300CForums, 90% of the time.

Dillo your new Charger SRT is beautiful.

At one point I believe we were 6 SRT's strong, but not all parked together,lol. That took a bit longer to accomplish. By that time we were down to 4.

2 MSRT, 1 3CSRT, 1 ChargerSRT. We later went for late night breakfast.

It made for one mean looking snake of don't *uck with us, to get eats,lol. Charger, 3C, Mag, Mag, all in tight formation rolling steady.

Let's start making this a regular thing, get more LX's involved. Next time I am not going to forget my folding chairs though,lol.

HEY HOUSTON, GET YOUR ASS OFF OF THE COUCH, CLEAN YOUR LX, AND WE WILL SEE YOU SOON.

Just a note for Houston area Dodge folk.
There is a DT meet at Hooters 1960 & 45n, you can check at their forum.

MAY 27th 3:00pm is start but usually goes all afternoon till late.
Not sure, but I think there is some sort of beer drinking contest.. lol
My cup is pretty full but I'll try to make it.
