Thought this review of the 300C as it makes its debut "back home" was interesting. Highlights some subtle cultural differences between the U.S. and Oz, and reflects some common local perceptions of the U.S.

Reference to the HSV and FPV is for the Holden Sport Vehicle, and Ford Performance Vehicle, respectively. These are the high performance versions of popular Aussie cars, similar to the SRT concept.

One Australian dollar = .74 cents U.S.

I wonder how they would like the Magnum. Good read though.

Their price translates into USD$44.4K, same as for the UK.

The 300C truly is a deal here!

The 300C is sold with a 3L Mercedes Turbo-diesel in the UK:

Interesting article. As a Brit living in Fl at the moment I read this with interest as the whole 300 thing is getting many people talking in the UK.

Generally, car manufactures in the UK would price the wagon about 10% than its sedan counterpart. This would make the 300C diesel / 3.5L gasoline touring at around £29500 or $51500 USD.

The interesting thing is that the article in question rates the Canadian build quality better than the Austrian factory that was set up to build RHD models. Way to go Brampton - :thumbs_u: .

I am taking my MSRT back to the UK when I go home, as I personally prefer the Magnum front end to the 300 but also from a rarity perspective think it would be more fun. The real stinger is that I could buy the MSRT through an American car importer for £43000 or $75000!

As I paid, the equivalent of £25000 for a fully loaded MSRT I think I have rang the bell, well apart from the $9 for a gallon of gas that is. (Hence the diesel) Gonna have some fun though that’s for sure. :racing:
