when you turn on headlights do you get a indicator light up on left side of instrument cluster? it is below fog light indicator light I believe. When you put on high beams a blue H lights up in center of cluster? They are saying no headlight on indicator on dash???
Thanks for your reply

My 2005 C w/HID has only the fog light indicator w/low beams and a blue headlight icon w/high beams (no H).

Why would you have to do that? You can't see the lights on the gauges? You can't see that the lights on the radio are not as bright? Most of all, you can't see the lights shining on the road?
I never heard of any vehicle that has a specific light on the dash to let you know when your headlights are on.

I have been driving since I was 16 and am now 73 and I never had an auto that had a headlite on lite on the dash. The only lite they all had was a high beam indicator. Like was said you had to turn the dash lites brighter to be able to see them in the daytime.

After an old man pulling a camper trailer pulls out in front of you trying to cross the interstate because he didnt see your silver painted car that blended in with the road while you were doing 70 miles an hr and completly TOTAL your vehicle, and miss hitting his truck by half a second and luckily hitting his camper trailer that at least GAVE quite a bit when you hit it therefore being the thing that saved your life.. aka "half a second" you learn to LEAVE your head lights on.
Not only that but I replaced my fog lights with those super bright 100 watt bulbs.
So I always drive with my lights + fogs always....
For that 1 time they keep someone from pulling in front of you its worth your lights burning out earlier....
