For those who want K&N large filter kits, we are doing that as well in the next few days.
Pending testing and tuning on the dyno, we'll release numbers and make sure we maximize every HP we can get. We do not sell it until the numbers prove it!
Factory D appreciates your input!
Good or bad let's hear it so we can all get something we want!

DYNO day is tomorrow on the DUAL intake/ Single Filter kit on the 2.7 300!
I'll post up scanned sheets as soon as possible with some hopeful video runs!

I hope your results are more promising than with our GIFO 1,2,3,4 etc

Indeed!!! So is this a first iteration or ...?

So what where the results of the dyno runs?

I fouled my plugs out with the one run showing a gain of 7.4 hps
We couldnt switch out the plugs until today so we are re running Weds with heatshield and a fresh tune up to verify numbers *(we will post here with scanned sheet)

I like the concept but it definitely needs cosmetic work!!

How did you manage to foul the plugs???

my car already has 40k on it and was starting to show signs of needing the tune up - When taking the car out to Dyno balls to the wall, the car showed on the computer performance problems so we check everything.... Not the intakes fault, just mine!

but doesn't the V6 have 100000 mile plugs?

If you did indeed foul the plugs then you have something other than worn spark plugs going on. While I don't recommend leaving plugs in 100k,with only 40k on your motor there shouldn't have been any issues with the plugs, unless there is a problem somewhere else, and if there is a problem elsewhere than your baseline numbers will be off. Now you fix the other problems, add the intake and run it on the dyno again, whose to say that the added power, if any, is from the intake. If I sound skeptical it's because I am, in the G.I.F.O. all claims of added horsepower were pretty much squashed.

One thing to note is that the GIFO was done ONLY on the Hemi cars. It did NOT test the V6 cars at all. They are different engines with different inductions. The GIFO results have absolutely no bearing on the results of CAI performance on an SE or SXT.

I hate to say this but the V6 cars have the same troublesome "Speed Density" Engine management systems as the v8s. It's a Chrysler's way of saving a little cash on the cars. No expensive MAF's on our LXs.

I agree with that, but they don't have the same intake. And, the GIFO DID show performance improvements from the CAI after exhaust and headers if I remember correctly.
Regardless of what the GIFO results are, my SXT Magnum runs better, and gets better MPG with my Aircharger. Does it have more horsepower? Dunno and don't care since it runs better and gets better MPG.

We are running the car with and WITHOUT the intake tomorrow so yes you will see baseline AND intake dyno sheets of course. My car had filthy plugs which can be from bad gas to anything. I replaced fuel filter and plugs to make sure this wont happen 2 times.
We'll know tomorrow

We are patiently waiting. Hope you get good results. You said you never heard of GIFO, well you need to do a search on this site. You will have a lot of interesting reading. GFIO 1,2,3,4 is why we are all very skeptical at this point.

Did you replace the whole fuel pump module, I thought that was the only way to service the fuel filter?

I agree with you totally. I have tried 2 different intakes on my 3.5 and neither one has done anything except make more noise, don't get me wrong it sounds awesome, but not worth it in my opinion. Also what I find interesting, is that after running both of the aftermarket intakes, my stock intake gives me the best mpg????

Which other ones did you try? Are you going to try more?

I have ran the K&N Aircharger and also the AirRaid setup. I think the only way that I would try another one would be if the company were to give me my money back if I didn't care for it

The numbers speak for themselves
SOME NOTES ON TEST CAR:
2.7L V6 with 43,000 miles
22" American Racing Wheels which were left on the car so everyone can see the effects of them on the JET
40 HP fan blown on car at all times during all runs
Starting at OEM intake and working our way up was how we developed this information.
Post up or PM me if you have questions

To me it looks like the dual filter is better than having no filter at all.

I will be trying one next week. If the 2.7 gains I am not too worried about the 3.5 doing the same. We are waiting to test our TBspacer before we go back

correction Dyno on pure intakes 3.5 V6 Friday
Heatshield completed and roadtesting tomorrow with on board temp sensors
(on the dyno it does nothing for the car with the hood open and fan blowing at 35 mph!)

look forward to the 3.5L results... have you done any checking about the fit of these to the Charger? What type exhaust are you running? Stock or Mopar duals? ANy other mods in the car? The use of a high performaance exhaust should effect results. SO if this is a stock exhaust on the 300 you dyno then the results should be much better with a better exhaust.

This is the only mod this car has performance wise. I am making a catback for the V6's currently but mine is stock for the time being.
Charger fit should be the same, i'll have a dealership charger in my shop next week for custom work they requested so we'll know soon enough!

here is what I would like to see in the dyno results
1. 3.5L stock
2. 3.5L with single filter
3. 3.5L with Dual filter
4. 3.5L stock with TBS
5. 3.5L with single and TBS
6. 3.5L with duals and TBS
Other information that is helpful to know: exhaust type

Our tester 3.5L magnum will be up and ready tuesday to Dyno
The order as requested is ACTUALLY the way we will be doing it
I am not sure if we'll get our prototype 3.5 TBS on in time BUT we'll try to!
ALSO we will try it with heatshield.
NO OTHER MODS will be done to the car except the intake and or TBS!

heat shield...any pics of this item? I am also curious how thick the aluminum tubing is...is it aircraft grade? When do you expect to have this available and will there be a GB?
