I was scrolling through the diagnostic modes on EVIC and noticed on the "VTA" screen there was an adjustable setting on the third line

VTA trig:None
Wake: CAN BUS
>196 Lgt:29
HBduty: 0%

I have CCN Software 7/5/05 v4.06

300C-SRT8 build date 11/8/06

Does anyone know what this number means or does? I accidently bumped it up to 196 from 192 by hitting the right arrow key on the steering wheel. I don't know if this is a big deal. This number increases by 2 each time the arrow button is hit. Can I get it back to 192 by advancing (ie does it loop) or will it only increase? Also, what do the other lines mean, can anyone translate? Thanks in advance.

Pat Z.

I think thats the light sensativity of the sensor on the dashboard.

It will roll over if you keep pressing it yes... as far as what it does.. unknown..

VTA trig is "vehicle theft alarm".

Ie the last time it went off...

welcome EndersGame (great book btw).

VTA trig = last vehicle theft alarm trigger.....none = alarm was not triggered.
WAKE: CAN bus = CCN (cabin compartmeent node/cluster) last wake up signal was from CAN bus signal.

not sure on the last two lines. i'll look into it.

it could very well be, seeing as how the high beams are duty cycled using PWM (pulse width modulation). if your DRLs are enabled, check HB duty with high beams on and compare to DRL on.

Ah, now all we gotta do is find somebody with DRLs on:)
