I was just turning into my subdivision a few minutes ago, when a black R/T went past me going w/b on Schick Rd. by Stratford Square Mall. I barley just caught a fleeting glimpse of it, but did see that it had flames on the side and custom exhaust...looked awesome.

Was it anyone on LXFORUMS??

I drive past Stratford Square Mall everyday, and I live in Glendale Heights. No flames, though! Perhaps the road salt and grime caked on my car resembles flames... :)

The magnum I saw had orange or red flames on the side, or at least that's what I (thought) I saw (and I was sober!!)

This was about 10:30 on Saturday morning, New Year's eve?? Was it you??

You might have seen the red 'R/T' emblems behind my front wheels... I don't know. You can see pics with the link in my sig, and if what you saw looked like that with the stock wheels on (it is winter, after all), then it was probably me!

That would probably be me. The flames are deep purple metalic on the brillant black paint. The exhaust would be Borla.
I've seen the R/T with the red badges. I have just the updated chrome one. Maybe we should all get together. Seems like we're all from this area. Weather permitting, I'll be at the Augy's cruise this coming Tuesday night at 59 and North ave.

Night Moves II, are your flames painted or perhaps from FastFlames? I can't tell from the photo on the linked site. If they are FastFlames, how do you like them? I'm considering flames, but I can't justify the cost of custom painting, which is why I ask.

The flames are decals from X-treme Graphics in Villa Park Illinois. Depending on Material, the cost varies. For the metalic purple, it cost me $300.00. I like the decals because if I want to change them, its still way cheaper than paint. Most people think they are paint until they get very close. I also like them because they do offer some measure of paint protection.

I got spanked BAD by that second mustang that met up with us on North ave. We were on 355 south at about 75, we both jumped on it, and he took off FAST!

We rolled down windows and I gave him the thumb, he waved back. He got off on Ogden... wonder what he had done to that thing... Fuel smelled funny;)

There were 3 of us. Dave & I had our cars....Night Moves II (Don) had his truck with him hoping to snag a buyer for it. He promised to bring the Magnum next time. Not a picture worthy event this time. Not for the LX's anyway.

Yeah...she's pretty healthy. On motor she runs 12.4 to 12.7 and add the Nitrous she hits 11.5 to 11.2. This is with slicks of course. With street tires I can't launch from a dead stop. Turns into a sit and spin. She is retired from strip racing. As you noticed, I'm trying to sell it. I have the rims for the slicks but my old slicks were worn out. I don't want to buy a new pair or I might get tempted to take her to the strip again. I've had my fun with it for the 10 years I've had it. Now I just need to sell it. If anyone can find a buyer, the $250.00 finders fee still stands. See ya all next week.

I have pre-registration forms for the Glendale Hts car show if anyone is interested. Like I mentioned earlier, this is normally a 200 to 300 car show. A great place to show off our LX cars.
