When the new 5.7 HEMI was introduced into dodge's truck line it was called the Magnum Hemi, as far as the output... and I could be wrong but isn't 290 about what the 5.7 puts to the wheels in an LX?

To answer a little more directly, if it's the new 300C, then it's either the 5.7L with 340 horses, or its the 300C SRT8 with 425 horses.

The 3.5 High output V-6 puts out 250 hp...the 5.7 Hemi throws down 345 hp..and the 6.1 Hemi makes 425 hp...Before Chrysler put out these engines they had 4.7 and 5.9 magnum V-8s. THe 4.7 V-8 is still used in the Ram 1500 and the Durango/Dakota.
