We need a poll.... If anyone from DC reads this forum (I know they must) it might help get this in production!

I think the retro look is fantastic on that car. In the 70's it was a pretty long car. With it being shorter I think it may handle better. Especially with all the modern technology in it.

I'd buy one, as long as it comes in the original Lemon Twist Yellow with the black 'hockey stick' stripes.

Actually a hocky stick stripe is s cuda thing but it would look better on a charger.
Make mine "yellow jacket" with a bumble bee stripe on the rump!
Or purple with a 71 r/t stripe

As it is now, no. I don't need another car. But if it were a convertible, I'd get rid of my Mustang pretty quickly.

Sorry... I wanted the Charger to look more like the old one!
Which old one? 66'-67', 68', 69', 70', or 71-74', 76'-79', or the ever popular omni-charger? Too many choices...
Sorry to go further off topic. I really really really really really like the concept Challenger. I hope they actually make it.

If anyone at DC reads this build it and keep it pretty much the way it is in show car form. See my sig. I was considering a Mustang but I am willing to wait a couple of years for this to come out if I know you are going to build it. If you are taking early orders I want a loaded HEMI R/T in Magnesium.
BTW 1- make an all dark slate interior. One thing that turned me off on the Charger when it came out was the light colored interior. 2- come up with a business case to do a convertible version. 3- Price in the Mustang range and you will sell every one you can make.

Wife said I can get one. I've got the coolest wife. She'll get the 300c, and I'll drive the Challenger SRT-8. And if DCX is listening, DON'T DARE DETUNE THE 392!!!

Hi, just signed up , wanted to talk Challengers! I remember making a phone call to DCX in about May begging them to make a Challenger coupe, 6 spd and retro styled (seems that they had an ongoing file of people doing exactly the same thing). By God they hit this bad boy out of the park! My only concern is how I am going to affod both a Challenger and Camaro simultaneously. Don't laugh, the truck is paid off in '08. Anyways, look forward to talking Challengers with you all, here is a very interesting pre-press photo I got from GMI.

No way, it's not a station wagon. Love the way it looks though. I predict high markups on it when released.

Having owned a 71 Challenger Conv. before I would definitely be interested in this car...maybe even in Plum Crazy color.

I love it, but no. Fully retro like the Challenger and the new Mustang really isn't my style. I prefer a nice mix of original modern design with throwback touches like the other LXs to reproducing an old car.

It'll sell well if they hurry. The longer they wait, the more they are missing their window. The new muscle craze is a very short fad. If they don't release it in '07 t may not be worth it for em to mess with the expense of releasing it at all.
There are hundreds who were wanting to spend their money on a new camaro that will scoop this car up in a heartbeat.
I'll take black, please.

I agree, the Challenger's window is extremely short. If GM shows a retro Camaro at NAIAS Chrysler may as well kiss their opportunity good bye. If GM blows the Camaro for the foreseable future then Chrysler can count on conquesting quite a few ex-F-body owners.

Yes, it seems to be the best looking of the LX cars, especially if the interior is new, and it probably will not be of interest to the criminals / rappers.

oh, just you wait and see...i would have never thought the charger was a "hip hop" type of car, but its in almost as many songs as the magnum...good point, but we shall see  im hoping it isnt thats for sure

I agree. Look at how they market the LX's and now the Commander. When (not if, trying to be optimistic) they bring the Challenger out someone will dub and bling these too.
As for me I like the classic muscle car look which means having tires with sidewalls, minimal chrome and no gold trim.

only after buying my 06 Daytona, do I see the new Challenger!!! I would love to have both, but the ole pocketbook can't handle them both.

Hello guys,
I registered to follow the upcoming Challenger. If DCX comes through an DOES make it, I'll take two of them, SRT trim, T-56, One in Plum Crazy and one in Limelight. DC, if you're listening, colors. They are crucial. ;)

Already expressed interest at my dealer - he's gonna keep his ear to the tracks for me... Not that I believe for a second that he will know anything before we do... :lol:Same here, exactly. I'm planning on holding out for whatever the SRT is. The Magnum is my daily and will stay that way. The Challenger SRT is what I'll haul out when the weather is nice and I feel like put-putting around a little :-)
