What do you think this would do for the LX family

I think the Challenger owners are going to say "Is that all you got?" Maybe I can say that in '07. :)

I chose Challenger steals thunder, but that really depends on the production of the Challenger. If it's limited like the SRT-8 models currently are we'll be out of luck. But, if they do make various trim levels we may get some fallout. Are we certain that everything will work across the cars? I'm not.

I chose the "same ol' puny" option. If the estimated production numbers are legit (5,000 to 10,000 per year), that won't be enough to jumpstart anything. Not to mention that DCX will still not be any easier get information out of.
The only way I could see the Challenger creating a better aftermarket for us would be if the car is fielded by one or more top teams in a prominent racing series. If that happens, the performance parts developed for the racing version might filter down to us at some point.

Food for thought - ford builds close to 200 K mustang unit/year. If the challenger sells a 1/4 of it'd be doing well.
It'll be a really good time to pick up a used Charger, but we've got a while yet...
They may do a face lift on the LX's by then. What makes me want a Magnum, hasn't changed, nor would I expect the 300 to suffer much.

On a side note, just imagine how incredibly sweet an SRT version of this thing might be if an RT version already came with a six-speed and 392 hemi.

After doing the SRT Track Experience last weekend, I was seriously considering a trade-up to an SRT Mag. Those plans are now stillborn. My Eeeee-ville plan is to have a nice, energy-efficient Magnum (*snicker*) in the garage, alongside a Challenger SRT. Gawd I hope they make 'em with that 6.4 or something similarly big, bad and 'Merican.

The Mexican workers build them for the 'Mericans, yes. I have a lot to say about internationalized production but this thread ain't the place for it :D

Hey Freak
Do you think we can time our orders on a Challenger so they can be built on the same day like our Magnums were ???? LOL

Looks like I'll have to get a little sister for my Magnum.
