Just wanted to give two thumbs up on ESP systems for the LX'rs . Last night was the first time I got to test the wagon in a few inches of snow, Wow.... was I impressed. ESP kicks ass in the slippery conditions, never once did I have a problem with the rear stickin out. I was actually havin a lil fun tryin break the end out but the the car felt like a rock and steered straight every time. Remember to drive safe and keep a safe distance.

No snow here in TX but at least once a year we get some freezing rain. The best free entertainment on the planet. Billy Bob and Bobby Joe in their pick-em-up with no weight in the back. Takes them 10 minutes to get it up to 40mph and then they're right on yer ass like it's gonna stop on a dime and pick up the change. There's a freeway interchange in Fort Worth we call the Mixmaster. 3 Interstates all come together and the one overpass is at least 300 feet high, I mean you can see Dallas 30 miles away from up there. Well you gotta take a run, and I mean a run, at this bad boy to get to the top when it ices over. And at the bottom of the ramp there are 3 merges going on in one 1/4 mile stretch. And one of them is people who have actually made it to the top of this thing now coming back down. Right at the bottom of this ramp on the service road is a liquor store. Every year when it freezes we go to the liquor store, get a couple of sixes and a pint and sit in the parking lot to watch the show. The Jamaican Bobsled Team ain't got nuthin' on these boys! They come down backwards, sideways or hell-bent-for-leather as fast as they can go to keep it straight and when they hit the bottom there's the rest of the crowd all tryin' to go left or right to get on or off the freeway. And the cement NASCAR barriers that keep 'em from flying off into space also keep 'em (bouncing off them every few feet) moving constantly down the ramp and into traffic. It's a hoot! Throw in a few out-of-control 18 wheelers and some good tunes cranked on the CD player and life is good!

I'm still waiting for my chance to give the ESP a good tryout in the snow although wifie says she felt totally comfortable on the couple of road she's been on. The Blizzaks help I'm sure.

I had my first experience with ESP today, and I was very impressed.
Tried to fly out the backend, but ESP kept her straight.
ABS also is good, had to make a quick stop this morning and it stopped quick. All I heard on the radio this morning was how many crashes there were.

I am running all seasons, but I realized that without the ESP and ABS I would have been in a lot of trouble this morning.

So I orded me a set of Winters from tiretrends.

I agree with your comments. I am total impressed with the stability of these Magnums with the TCS,ESP activated... Wow!

I picked up my car the day before you made this post, and then had the unfortunate luck to be caught in the storm that hit the following week. Still on the F1's and it was NO fun. I remember cursing all the way home, praying I wouldn't ditch it the first week.

I got myself BSA wheels and Dunlop Grand Trek snows shortly after, and with the ESP it's as good in snow as any car I've ever had; maybe better.
