Well, we are getting down to the wire, so I thought I'd start giving everyone a peek at what I've been working on for nearly 2 years now.
The car as it sat before going into the garage
http://www.sixwonsix.com/temp/300/front-view.jpg
The original idea - just suicide rear doors with RR door handles
http://www.sixwonsix.com/temp/300/4door-rendering.jpg
Plans changed just before going into the garage, and here is what we decided to do - cut out the b-pillar
http://www.sixwonsix.com/temp/300/side-nobpillar.jpg
mock up of new B pillar location
http://www.sixwonsix.com/forums/newbpillar.jpg
won't be needing these anymore
http://www.sixwonsix.com/forums/rearwindowframe.jpg
Is it me or does anyone else think this things are too big
http://www.sixwonsix.com/forums/oldbpillarsize.jpg
about 5.5" at the top and 6.5" at the bottom when back to back is just to much space between those windows, so we cut it down to 3" on top and 4" on the bottomhttp://www.sixwonsix.com/forums/newbpillarsize.jpg
and got rid of the need for covers as well as rounded off the corner of the door
http://www.sixwonsix.com/forums/newfinalbpillar.jpg
Much more to come......

why wast the time to make it a two door and make the stupid doors longer, if your going to do it right TAKE 10 in out of the whole car rather than this half ass ****...... this is like the 4 car iv seen done and when they could loose about 1000lb s out of the car from the drive shaft being shorter and so much less metal out of the body these cars would be really quick being a two door, buy shorting the wheel base... what a wast of time. sorry kinda lost it their

He's making a two door? I thought he was going to slim it down, and suicide the backs...
That was always my detractor from doing suicides: the wide center pillar.

I see you've done some shizzle to your own car, but that's pretty god damn rude to piss on someone doing that much flippin work to a car like that. I doubt their ultimate goal was to make a super fast 300. You should have more respect, man.

Thanks guys for the support. I'll try to post updates every day or 2, but can't let everything out of the bag just yet.
This is also the premiere build for a shop. There are a couple of things that you will see we did that will be available in kit form very soon.
As Super T said, this is a full size car, not a shortened, proportioned ruined 2 door. To me that is the easy way, or as some may say, the half *ss way...
I believe I've only seen 3 other 2 door 300's. 2 by WCC, both were sectioned leaving either no back seat or one were the front seats touched the back. The other welded the back doors off. No offense to any of those builds, as it still a lot of work, but that would have been much easier - Especially when you see what else we did.
As for making the car faster.. I forgot to mention, and the first pic of it is a bit misleading, as I had already did a 300C front end swap, but this started as a 300 Limited 3.5 V6! But now it has a 6.1
http://www.sixwonsix.com/forums/61.jpg
with a twist(hint - this is where the P in 300P comes into play).
Speaking of those kits - anyone notice this large open area in the corner when you open the trunk?
http://sixwonsix.com/forums/trunkcorner.jpg
We did, and took this
http://sixwonsix.com/forums/gasdoor.jpg
And did this
http://sixwonsix.com/forums/shavedfueldoor.jpg
and put it here
http://sixwonsix.com/forums/newgasfiller.jpg
more to come....

So I take it you hate the Challenger then too, huh?
Because that thing is just a pig like the rest of our cars. To call this work half ass might be one of the most uninsightful, rude comments Ive ever [not] had the privelege of reading on this forum.
If their goal was weight reduction to make it fast, I doubt they'd choose to start with a 300 anyway. If you could actually see what they are trying to accomplish, I think you'd have a little bit more respect for the work that has been done so far... but that seems to be asking a bit much out of you.
Im all for respecting everyone's personal opinion, but yours lacks so much concrete substance, it's quite frankly a little embarassing.

OMG!!! You dont see many projects like this!! as for some peoples comments.......ahem, sublime you killed it. Ive never understood crapping in someones thread like that?? maybe its from not being raised with the ability to understand the word RESPECT or maybe it stems from said person paying to have work always done for them leading to not being able to understand ideas and concepts like this. This isnt an install of a CIA for gods sake! This person is actually creating what could be considered an all new style of car. Let me give you one more tip then Ill get off my soap box....when I was in 1st grade I called a girl that liked me fat, she responded by scratching the hell out of my arm, the teacher responded by verbally lighting my a$$ up, afterwards when I was mortified by my arm and the words that the teacher was able to 1)create 2) unload on me she followed it up by this which is very simple but apparantly no one told you in first grade lol "think about what your going to say BEFORE you say it, if you think is gonna cause you to get another scratched up arm then dont let the words leave your DAMN mouth.........now go sit down!
Nice build you have going, thanks for sharing it with us!!!!!

Thanks guys. We're using a universal felt that attaches to the inside of the molding we made. The molding has a flat back side in the window track, so it should work well. We talked about enclosing the factory rubber, but I think this is stronger and cleaner.

There are a few custom glass places that can do it, but it's not easy nor cheap. In fact ours won't be done in time, so we'll be rocking Lexan for a couple weeks.
What door handles are these?
http://www.sixwonsix.com/temp/300/4door-rendering.jpg
They are off a Rolls-Royce Phantom. I honestly can't believe nobody has done this yet! Granted the real handles cost around $4000 for a set, but non functioning ones could be machined for much less. Even covers could be made to go over stock handles to give the same look.
Those window sill moldings that you made should be cast and sold as a fiberglass kit. I would totally buy a set.

I had the chance to go check out this ride today, and I have to say it looks amazing and it's not even close to being finished! I can't get over the amount of work and detail that was put into completely finishing all of the metal work on the door skins and pillars. Although many don't worry about how it looks, the time was taken to finish these areas even though they'll be covered by the door skins and interior. I'm convinced he could've just painted these areas and still had people's jaws dropping. Can't wait to see it finished up, and even more so than that, I can't wait to see it come along even further after SEMA. Everyone's going to be in for some continuing surprise in the near future. :thumbs_u:

WOW! The last week and a half is all a blur to me now. Lots of late nights plus 40hrs straight then a few hours of sleep and 38hrs to get this on the trailer to SEMA was rough. We ran out of time on a lot of things, and hit a ton of problems we did not expect, but it was there, and we had a great time. Now it's back and getting round 2 of changes before it's final finished debut at Detroit Autorama.

So, what's next - channeled/body dropped, shaved drip rails on the roof, split fold open trunk aka the picnic boot, all new interior panels for doors and b-pillars, engine detailing, SEM jet black paint, and completely finished undercarriage.
Oh yeah, and the P stands for Propane. This will be as far as we understand the worlds first 6.1 running on Propane gas!
Thanks for all the great feedback, and to the LXers I meet out at SEMA. Keep an eye out of round 2 as Autorama nears.

MagnummanAWD - yeah, I guess technically it's channeled, not body dropped, or as some call it uni-body dropped, either way it'll be sitting lower in a couple weeks.
KnightRider - the cookie's in the mail!
As for the back seat - sliding the front seat all the way up and then tilting it forward allows enough access to the rear seat. I had originally thought about using buckets out of a G35 that have a button for quick access out of the rear seat, but then realized that there will probably never be anyone actually sitting in the back seats, so waiting for the seat to slide forward will work.

I figured you had it worked out, the car has way to much thought in it to have not thought that through. I tell people all the time I've never purchased a car because the back seat was comfortable, ok well not since high school. :)

I love what you have done and where you want to take it!
- channeled/body dropped
My question is how are you going to channel/body drop a unibody car? Are you building a full tube frame? If cut and chopped properly you dont need to do either the car will lay completely flat. As seen here.

http://www.sixwonsix.com/forums/cluster.jpg
As for getting it laid out, the bulk of it will be in channeling the body to allow the suspension arms more travel. We had talked about a tube frame and 4link in the rear originally, along with the widebody, but too many other projects in the works now. Just need to get this done!
