Anyone here done this.
Was going to do a resonator delete the the guy at the exhaust shop said they have done a few center muffler deletes keeping the resonators in place with good results.
No drone issues.
Just curious on sound if anyone have heard one done.
Thanks

Hi Upscales. I have a Magnum R/T and replaced the mufflers with Cherry bomb glass packs. I have very little drone. Its nice on the highway but sounds damn good when you get on the gas!!!!!!!!!!!

I got rid of the resonators, and the MagnaFlow mufflers are in there place. Sounds great too. Very little drone and when you are at high speeds can't even hear it on the highway. I think there are pics of it on here in my gallery.

I had those litte mufflers on my R/T 6-speed.
I swapped out just the mufflers first (Flowmaster Super 44s). It changed the tone slightly, but was not any louder.
I then eliminated the rear resonators.
That did the trick!
I get just a little drone at 1700-1800 rpm, but with the 6-speed, I can just grab another gear to stay out of that RPM range while cruising.
I just spent 6 hours on the road this weekend with my wife. She said the interior noise was not bad at all, and that was with the rear seats (bottom AND backs) removed for racing. She tends to be fairly critical of noisy cars...I've had plenty over the years!
Ask Hemiphil how my car sounds:)

Have done this on SRT8 Chally , sounds excellent at idle nice deep rumble, normal driving sounds really good as well no drone noticeable, but is really LOUD when you nail it. I am in the workings of doing this to my R/T probably this weekend ...

Took the centers out and replaced them with the Flowmaster Super 44's first. Still wasn't loud enough. Took out the reso's and welded the stock tips back on. Awesome sound on the R/T Challenger. Some drone but not enough to bother me. Highly recommend this mod.
