Okay, first off, props to OnTheRock'08 for having his Challenger painted by Mike Lavallee at Killer Paint. I didn't see his thread on here until I after I saw his car in the Gallery at the Killer Paint website and did a search for it.
I would love to have Mike Lavallee True Fire my Challenger, but it's not in the budget, especially with the economy in the toilet and overtime drying up. But, that doesn't mean I couldn't swing a smaller project than a whole car paint job. Killer Paint has a quote feature, where you send in photos of what you want done, and they tell you whether they'll do the job, and how much it will cost.
I recently got a painted fuse box cover for my SRT Challenger, painted Brilliant Black Crystal Pearl to match the car. Nice, but it needed something. My first shot was to order up a Challenger SRT dash badge, shave off the pins, and mount it on the fuse box cover with 3M tape. It was nice, but it just didn't pop. I thought, hey, let's see if Killer Paint would True Fire the cover, and after I sent them photos of the part, my car, and the engine bay, I heard back from Nick at Killer Paint a couple of days later. They'd do the job! I was thrilled, and sent the cover off to Snohomish the next day.
It's been a few weeks, but today my wait was well rewarded. Fedex delivered the True Fire painted fuse box cover and it's way better than I imagined it to be.
Here's the cover fresh out of the shipping box...
