Not supporting this company anymore. Couple sore thumbs working there.

Anyone from the LX forums show up for this? I should have posted it on the LXCentral area. Let us know when something like this happens again, because I think a couple of us might show.

Good deal! I was all sad about missing out on it today. Haha

I think LXC Should make a showing... I know I've been wondering what I dyno at, so this should be a good chance for me to find out.

Although I'm also gonna make my buddy download the Dynolicious Iphone app, to see how accurate it is, in the meantime.

What is the app that you speak of?? Is it a free app? I know a few people that have iphones that I could probably talk into downloading it. What in the hell would the iphone hook up to though to give any kind of accurate measurements? I guess the motion sensor things in it, like a dashboard "dyno"?

And I apologize for making you tear up over the missed dyno yesterday lol

It uses the g-sensors in the iphone/ipod to register.

It costs like 13 bucks, but it's a useful little tool. It's not 100% accurate, but it's pretty close. The 1/4 times seem almost spot on, but the HP ratings it kicks out aren't quite. I 'dyno'd' at everywhere between 230 - 340 with it.

I suspect in reality I'm pushing just under 300 to the wheels... Also, you need to come down here so we can hit the track before the season is over! I'd like to go out one more time, but I hate going alone. I'm sure even Boggart would join us, as well as a few of my buddies.

Hmmm. I might have to check that out next time one of my friends with an iphone is around.

I would like to hit up the track before winter sets in also. By the way, I found some 93 in joco today and filled up. So I might try out that 93 tune tomorrow.

Last night when it was chilly out and my gas light was on (91 in the tank), I managed to get some chirping out of the tires all the way through first. I think my car is actually a bit quicker now then when I first installed the 91 tune...

But is it quick enough? :P

Btw, in relation to this thread: I have a friend who knows his **** as far as building beastly fast cars (has a LS1 powered RX7 pushing around 500 hp to the WHEELS, and he says Modified by KC is kinda garbage, and that their dyno has no load so basically it's gonna tell you you're pulling way more power than you actually are.

I don't know about you, but I'd rather have a conservative estimate than one that inflates my ego.

I dunno, I like ego inflation..... No, that would suck ass if you got a high baseline from them, then added some go fast goodies and dyno'd slightly higher on another one afterwards.

So there was a step by step installation of ring and pinion gears on the forum, and I think it could be doable by some newbies. Now if only I could find some dirt cheap.....

Ohh, and my car is no where near quick enough....:racing:

There is 1 load bearing dyno in the area as far as I know of, although who is to say what dyno is 100% accurate? load bearing dyno's can be manipulated to make a car's reading appear higher or lower, the thing with the Dyno Jet dyno that we use is that there is no ability to manipulate the roller, honestly it is a very simple dyno compaired to others and like I said there is not a single thing we can do to manipulate the horsepower reading more than ~5-6 whp, we do all of our dyno's on a STD correction factor. It will read close to any other dyno jet in the area/country. Chad would be able to inform you more on it, he knows a TON more information on their dyno than I do. I also figure if this guy "knew his ****" he would look past dyno numbers and realize that it is just a tuning tool, the real test is how the car performs at the track.
:thumbs_u:
I say call up Modified by KC and give Chad a call.
