need some advice

im looking at some 20" wheels and the offset is +20mm so what does this mean? will it stick out alot? sorry im new to the wheels and tire scene. also a 245/40zr20 is reccomended by tire rack do you all have any better sugestions? aslo what would be a good brand with long life?
