Last time out, he said there were no sharks anywhere. I guess that shark that got beaned on the snout for trying to steal his snapper awhile back got the word out to his buddies to leave the Marine alone?

Lou,
What's up with the wet suit--catching those things bare handed?

Not bad but let a couple Sgt's from Ky take him in the backwoods and show him how to pull freshwater fish that big.

I don't know if he is emotionally prepared for a couple of Sgt's from Ky to take him into the backwoods yet....
Just saying....
(That's not a banjo I hear playing, is it?)

LOL, somethin aint right when a persons version of fishing is sticking their hand or foot in an underwater hole to use as bait and pulling it out when there is a catfish latched on to it. Hrm, maybe he meant Sgt's w/ KY in the backwoods? this abreaviation thing is all sorts of cornfusin...

Lest you Sgt's get all upset at me...just pulling your leg.
But the KY comment above was pretty good, I thought.

That's Chris, my oldest (USNA Class of '08--picuted in my sig, below). He was commissioned into the Marine Corps upon graduation and is now a 2LT Marine Aviator stationed at Pensacola for flight training.
The red snappers and sea bass are excellent eating fish. I imagine the wahoo is somewhat like a kingfish, but I've never eaten one.
The sanppers were speared while scuba diving and the sea bass and Wahoo were caught on a rod&reel.
The kid has worked hard and now is enjoying life.

Wahoo is one of the best eating fish in the ocean!! They have white flakey meat that is PERFECT for grilling. I've caught tons of em here off the coast of Charleston. That fish he's holding is somewhere in the 50# range. It's a long fish but kinda thin. Can you say Blackened Wahoo with a Bernaise sauce on top with Garlic whipped potatoes!!! ummmmmm.

Nice fish, that water looks very familiar. Snapper season is now closed, boohoo. They should check out the Oriskany for some great diving.

Lou,
Not only do I fish, But I shoot too. I won the Camp Pendleton Trap tounament last year. 48 out of 50 clay pigeons broken. I missed the 25th and the 50th.
Banjo's only play in the mountians of eastern ky for ya'lls info. The backwoods is in the central part of the state where the bluegrass region butts against the knob region of the state.

Hats off to you for the excellent shotgunning and for living in a breathtakingly beautiful state.
The only competition I've won with a firearm is for blasting bowling pins off a table a touch faster than the other fellas on a given evening--mostly with a .45 ACP.
