I recently picked up a 08 magnum it has the stock 17 hubcap wheels on, and I was thinking about replacing them.
Will 16's be to small to clear the brake calipers? I as thinking about going with some old school rally's/smoothies with a 255/60/16 tire.

I think so, but I don't know that for an absolute fact. Besides, as big as the wheel wells are on these cars, I would think getting even smaller wheels is moving in the wrong direction.

I think your on to something with the wheel well size, maybe best to stay with 17's then. I see alot of people running mustang rims on their LX, any idea about backspacing that I need for some mustang based 17's?

Do the Mustang wheels fit? Aren't the bolt patterns different? Anybody know for sure?

Mustang wheels = 5x114.3 LX= 5x115
That .7 mm difference is about the thickness of a credit card. I have seen more than a cpl posts where people are running mustang wheels, but am not saying it is recommended. For every post against it on here there is also one supporting it./shrug
