This month's theme will be: Signs
Submission Deadline: Friday, July 24th 2009

Get creative with a street sign. Find a funny billboard. Take a picture next to a "No Photographs" sign. It's up to you, just HAVE FUN!

Submissions should be sent to FONDY in a PM, any time through friday, July 24th.
Any photos posted in this thread that are for this months theme will be deleted.

Voting will begin on a separate thread as soon as the submission deadline passes.

Submissions posted elsewhere will not be counted.

Here's the rules, folks:

1) One entry per member, per contest.
2) Member must take photo.
3) Member's LX must be in the photo.
4) Photograph must be taken for this contest - no previous shots allowed.
5) Photo shopping is not allowed except for modifying the license plate, brightness and contrast, and crop/resize.
6) Maximum size - 800 x 600. Oversize photos will not be allowed. Resizing available if needed.
7) The winner will be responsible for deciding upon the theme of the following month's contest, and is not eligible to participate in that contest.

So get out your camera, and find some signs, be creative there is no telling what others will be shooting...... :)

this is a great theme! I am sure some of you are taking more then one location and picking what sign you like the best out of the shots. thats what I am doing. I got one yesterday got a few more to look at.

I dunno. It was in Western PA on an exit ramp off Rt.90 (@6N). Some kind of Rt. must be designated by color, but I don't know the details!

Beautiful weather here in SoCal, we went for a drive last weekend and got some really cool shots. It's all about familiararity :wink:

Well, between my husbands knee surgery last week and my possibly sprained wrist/hand that I did today golfing for the first time (and digging a trench with the club instead of hitting the ball! :doh:), I think I am going to have to pass on this month. By the time I found a sign I could use, Chuck had his surgery and no time to wash and detail to get a shot as I am going to need his help. And now it is raining tonight and most of the day tomorrow too! If only there were a couple more days...

I guess there is always next month...

I've already found one, but I found another that could be good. Its of a Rapala deep dive fishing bait - shows a pic of the typical Rapala with the text "MORE HITS THAN GOOGLE" under it. Drove by it today in my truck and didn't have a camera. Being in the "Land of 10,000 Lakes," I found it comical. :tinfoilhat:

Billboard sign at NASA Glenn Research Center (my company is a contractor)-just finished a construction project right below it (its roughly 40'x100').

UPDATE: Heres the photo with my charger below it. Now i just have to find a way to rig a jet engine and some H2 and 02 tanks in my charger...so i can take the place of the new Orion/Ares Space Vehicle.
Also another sign leaving the Cleveland IX Center.
