First off, a HUGE thanks to Larry (Killshot) and the Lago Vista community, especially our hosting business Lago Vista Tire & Auto.

As expected I arrived a little while after the height of the event due to a swim meet, but it was still awesome. I enjoyed the spirited drive on the curvy roads to get there. Guys, thanks for saving some ribs! They were great!. Moist, tender seasoned so welll....mmmMMmmMmMmmmM. OH~ Sorry, got distracted there reminiscing!

And the tacos~ mmMmmmMmm... ooops! Did it again.

A big huge thanks to all of our sponsors for the door prizes! We know that the economy really makes supporting us more difficult!

Anyway, it was a great turnout! ~30 cars that included 8 new Challengers and a host of cool classic muscle cars and antiques. I was told that I missed the big part of the crowd that passed through, but there were still folks discovering the new shop due to our gathering. They enjoyed the free BBQ and tacos, too!

The garage owner was fantastic! Honestly, we had some of this profesional mechanics and all of the tools totally at our disposal, including lifts! Mods?? We are talking brakes, paddle shifters, suspension and some CMR Tuning going on! Yeah baby, it was rocking!

We had all the cars out in front of the shop and it seemed to draw in all kinds new potiential customers. The shop owner was very pleased with all of the attention.

That night some of us went to P'Villes Tinseltown. I'm sorry to say it seems to be shrinking. A few of us went over to the newest hangout area. 183/360 behind the Taco Cabana around 10:00. When we arrived, there were about 30 cars. Most were classics. Within a half hour, it all changed. The classics pulled out and it quickly grew to a few hundred cars & bikes. It was a mix of euro, asian & domestics. Albert jopined in w/ his new Camaro and a friend brought his new 6 speed SRT Challenger that he picked up a couple weeks ago. He already had the suspension and exhaust modified and is anxiously awaiting a 440 in the next couple of weeks.

All in all, a fun filled day of car events.

Thanks Les.

The only thing I wish different next time, would be the sun. Dam that heat. I think all in all it was a great turn out and a lot of nice people who were enjoying a wide variety of cars and lets not forget trucks. How about that 47 Dodge P/U? I will try and post pics. I dont know if the forum will let me though, due to their size. If not I'll email them to you.

I would have loved to attend, but staffing couldn't allow for it. Did anyone take any pictures?

P.S. Sam, are you taking the Shelby to work now? I've been looking for your Super Bee where it's usually at, but haven't seen it lately.

I drive the Bee most days, but park in the back lot now. No bankrupt domestics allowed in the executive lot......:modding:

Yeah, it was a great time! I won a cool cap in the raffle and got to hang with a bunch of car smart guys and talk shop. Not to mention good food. What more could you ask for? Well, maybe a few clouds. I'm red as a lobster! But it was worth it. Thanks to Larry for the hard work. That was the first time I had met him and really enjoyed it.
Until next time (soon I hope).

Appreciate it Andy. Thanks, it was a blast. Hopefully next time, we can a little bit bigger turn out. I'm almost glad we didn't get much more yesterday. It was getting kinda full. We'll see where we can do it next time. I would like to do it at least once a year. Definitely at a cooler time of year next time. I have some pics, if someone from the club can give me the link to photobucket again. Then Les can post them on the web site, and I can just put the link on here.

I enjoyed the "quick" visit as well! I wanted to stay all day, but work was calling! Now we just need to have one of those M&G's in a climate controlled area! :)

Had a ton of fun though and he's really enjoying them. I loved them as a kid and am blown away at some of the sets and detail on them.http://www.lxforums.com/board/%5Bimg%5Dhttp://fototime.com/F5B58A841169E40/orig.jpg%5B/img%5D
