Proper tire size for 22' wheels

I have an 05 Magnum R/T and just bought a set of 22 x 9.5 KMC wheels. I am wondering (for the sake of ride quality) whats the tallest tires I can get away with on them. I also am curious about my max width, simply because I would like to minimize the potential for wheel rash by having as wide of a footprint as possible. Any thoughts or suggestions for the best size to use?

265/35 up front or all the way around and a 295/30 on the rears would be perfect.

I run a 265/35/22 on 22x9 up front, and 295/30/22 on a 22x10 out back. Nitto 420's for tires. They are almost 29" tall and don't rub on a stock SRT8.

i was running 265/35 all around i think thats perfect a tire size for these rims

Another vote for 265/35/22.

Any smaller and the ride quality would surely suffer quite a bit. Mine rides decent, and not much different than the 20's I had before, but I bet 30 series ride pretty rough.

265/35 seems to be what most people run on our cars with 22" wheels. I run 265/35 Pirellis on 22x9.5" wheels (+18 offset) with a nice drop via Pro Kit springs and dampers with no issues at all.

265/35s ftw, im currently runnins 255/30s and i hate it the sidewall is .7" shorter that the 265/35s and it sucks

I'm running 265/35 on my 22/9.5. My offset is +13, a little lower than I wanted but couldn't pass up the price, with no rubbing on the inner fender lock to lock. I feel once I lower it, I may get some rubbing on the outer fender since its just past flush.

You fellas with a higher offset have any rubbing on either side?

I'm the opposite. I have +20 offset but really wanted lower. But I have 22x9s. Doesn't rub. Now that I think about it, a narrower wheel with higher offset in front might be better if you ever change the suspension.

i agree. i wanted to get a +18 to 20 offset with the 9.5 width, but didnt have any in stock.

you make a good point about the higher offset/narrow wheel combo.
