Has anyone heard of this or had this problem. I did a search and couldn't find anything.
Backround:
My car is a 2006 charger Daytona R/T with 52,000 miles and no mods done to the inner components of the engine or cooling system w/ original termostat, fan temp. and fluid. I didn't do any hard driving and maybe put 15 miles on her in the past week. The temp. outside has been about 65*F all week too.
Story:
So, I got to work yesturday morning. No issues, I walk outside to get something out of my car and low and behold, about a quart of pink stuff under my car. So, I put car on ramp and look. I originally thought it was power steering fluid but it turned out to be radiator fluid. Come to find out that my lower pass. side radiator was were it was coming from. So I fill up the radiator tank and head to the dealership which was about ten miles away. They agreed that my radiator was cracked. They also said that it was going to cost about 700 euro to do the job since my car is not under warrenty, mind you that the radiator is about 300 euro and I can get about 100 euro back because of tax redemption. But still, that is alot. So I just order the radiator and it should be here on monday. Good thing they have alot of 300C here.
I wish I didn't need it so bad otherwise I would have ordered itfrom the states and paid a whole lot less, lol. O' well, now I guess it is a very good time to change out to the 180 termostat since I had it for 6 months now and change the fan temps.
Thanks for listening,
Jonathan
