I will get the alarm to Check my TPMS system on the EVIC but when I do all 4 tires are reading fine and the pressure is good. Its not hurting anything its just annoying. I havent taken to the dealer because I read that if you move the sensors to new wheels they will no longer warranty the sensors. Any ideas on whats causing this?

If it's blinking for a minute every 10 minutes, that is one of your sensors not working. I had mine installed onto a band attached to the barrel of the wheel to keep them from being destroyed.. suddenly developed a massive vibration yesterday and now i am having the TPMS blink at me.. pretty sure one of the sensors came loose and is toast..

Tire place will warranty their install.. if they broke the sensors, they will replace them...

Don't know if the stealership will warranty tpms on aftermarket wheels.. I can't see why they wouldn't if you had them installed properly.. isn't the burden on them to prove that the aftermarket part caused the failure?

But thats the thing. All 4 sensors are showing the correct pressure on my EVIC readout.

I get periodic warning and one or both of rear sensors shows blank "__" for the presure reading. It is not always the same wheel, sometimes both. I'm guessing it's the sensors, but don't know. To tell you the truth, I wish we just had a way to turn the tpms off, more of a pain in the ash than it's worth.

Where is the code for it? If it's in the PCM (doubt it) I bet diablosport could have the TPMS checks bypassed completely.. useful for people racing since you don't want to put TPMS in drag radials. ;)

I had this happen on my 06' Magnum earlier this year (with less than 6k miles) and the only fix was taking it to the dealer. They had to reset the TPM system via the star scan or something. They actually had to call somewhere else (don't know who/where) in order to figure out how to get the chime to go away.

Is there a fuse for that?

I wouldnt think it was a fuse because sometimes it give the alarm and sometimes it doesnt.

I actually had to take mine to the dealer twice. The first time they thought they corrected it, but two days later it started again. Took it back and they had my vehicle most of the day. I haven't had the problem since.

battry dying in a sensor(s), just dead enough that the car intermittently loses communication w/ it?

That might be it. Guess I will have to make an appointment to get hassled by the dealership.

I am having the same issue...Did the dealer resolve this? What did they find?

I can't stand to pay $70+ dollars to plug it up to a starscan...Evidently this is the only machine that can possibly fix the issue. Tried a Snap-On computer and no codes. At a total loss.

Thanks

took mine to dealer and they replaced a sensor in the wheel, solved the problem

My sensors are reading though. No errors in pressures on all wheels and sensors. I really don't think it is a sensor.

I have kinda been ingnoring it since it doesnt do it ever time. I had read that if you had moved your sensors to aftermarket wheels they wouldnt be covered under warranty. Its annoying sometimes but not enought annoying to pay the dealership to fix it.

Anyone know if it's possible to update the WCM on a domestic model with code for export models?

not legally.

Understood. But this would be a nearly ideal configuration. for the winter tires that don't have tpms, it will warn.. but after that it won't alert till it sees them appear again and then will work normally..

I suppose it has the same legal issues as enabling high, lows and fogs at the same time...
