I haven't been doing the forums much recently, so I'm kind of out of the loop. Whats new in tuners for the LX cars? Anything?
When I was heavily into it the only two options were the Predator and the Superchips Flashpaq. Any newcomers or developments?
I had a Predator before on my SRT8 (and a Superchips prior to that on my old 5.7), but ended up selling it. Now I'm thinking about getting a tune on my Mag again but just wonder if anythings changed in terms of whats available.
Predator still the king but custom tuning with it has come a big step further

I think SCT has tuning available, although I don't know of anyone using it.

MOTEC
X2
At this stage the Motec is really in it's infancy and very expensive, but yes the software in the Motec will beat the OEM Chrysler stuff manipulated by the Daiiiiiablow CMR any day.
(I really need to PM you sometime Jected, and get some info)

Is that Motec a tuner? Or a complete replacement for the stock programming box?

A complete replacement for the PCM.
It has it's own software that is 100 percent tunable.

Actually, I think they are just using it as a fuel and ignition computer to piggyback his OEM computer because Jected says he still retains all of his stock guages and stuff.

I'm not sure how Jected's set up. but the 100 seires Motec's do have Can Bus interface capability so theroredically it can send it's own messages.

Hey guys sorry for the delay. The car is running the MOTEC M800 engine management system and the MOTEC CDI-8. Yes it most definitely runs everything in the engine bay (every sensor etc) as well as interfacing with the CAN BUS system so that I still have dash, radio everything else etc.
I don't know enough about it myself to confidently expalin exactly how it all works but I do know that it was hard wired into the car. From here everything that needed to be run had to be coded into the MOTEC system to enable it to understand/read the signal.
MOTEC were sent parts from the such as my accelerator pedal, both OEM and Arrignton throttle bodies, Crank angle / cam sensors, OEM PCM and so on and so on so that the code could be written for the M800 to function. Other sensors had the signals read by HP/F and the data thenn sent to MOTEC who again wrote a code and emailed it back to them. Thats about my undertanding of it if that makes sense.
I do know (and again nothing against Diablo) that the MOTEC can offer so much more tuning ability than the OEM PCM can allow and this was needed especially when we wind the boost up.
Hope thaa makes sense.

Yea but that will just compete with the CMR
The stand alone idea with the Motec is where it's at.
