Just how loud IS the airhammer? I'm very very strongly considering ordering one, but I don't want to sound like a redneck with a harley. Or a redneck...with...a 300C for that matter! Help me out!

hehehe...you'll see tomorrow bro. Let's just say that at night, when everyone is tucked into their beds and you go rippin thru the neighborhood....well, you'll see.
Nice sound when you get on it....which then make you want to get on it all the freakin time.

My Brother in Law said it best. When you mash it it sounds like a fat kid sucking on a juice box! Other than that it hisses a bit but with the hood down its not overly loud.

thanks for all the answers guys. I'm going to give michelle's a listen tomorrow, and I'm anticipating liking what I hear.
I was unsure because all the people that have talked about the sound of the AH have made it out to be akin to having a tornado under your hood. The cockpit videos that I saw made it sound pretty good, but the exterior videos made me a bit nervous, I'm not really the noisy NOISY type. Says the guy with his resonators removed...

Won't even know it's there until you step on the pedal on the right, you control the sound Mon, sweeter than even your Lady moanin' when you finally got it right for a change!!
(almost):thumbs_u:
Then it's all out best all around, get the real thing, there will be no regrets whatsoever!

What's wrong with rednecks? And if anything it just makes the HEMI more audible. :)

I think it's more an interior sound than exterior. If you love the sound of HP, I think the AH delivers.

Just so everybody knows, after hearing Michelle's airhammer yesterday and feeling (and seeing her car pull away on the onramp), I ordered my Carbon Fiber Phoenix GenII Airhammer this morning! 8-20 days from now I will be the proud owner of a shiny new intake made out of love and the most beautiful material thus far known to man. Somebody beat me, I must be dreaming!

Between a predator and an AirHammer, you're looking at about 20hp or so. Purdy good bang for the buck. And it will sound like a muscle car should (minus the lope).

110 decibels with the hood open.......106 decibels with the hood closed.......:):)
I am quite happy with my Carbon Fiber Air Hammer. It's a piece of ART........just beautiful and performs very well. If you got yourself an AirHammer, you done good!!! You won't be sorry!!

If you get just any old CAI then your statement would be true, but not with the AirHammer. It really does make a noticable difference and when paired with the Predator, it just makes you giggle with the added power and throaty growl coming out from under the hood!
Glad you like what you heard Justin and that I could help you make up your mind (it is always my pleasure to show off a little bit). I will be interested to see if there are any differences in the sound between the CF and Stainless...

I'm expecting the Carbon Fiber version to be a bit more tonal than the stainless. Carbon has WONDERFUL resonance properties (better than wood), so I imagine that I will have beautiful engine music coming from under my hood.
An example of carbon's beautiful sound:
