Ok, this is a idea that has been burning in my brain for a long time...I thought I could solve it by keeping the srt-8 20's from the charger...but its not cutting it. I will say this, I am sold on keeping 20's on the ride but I gotta have a wider wheel in the rear..It looks so much better.
You can see pics of my car here. http://www.lxforums.com/board/album.php?albumid=21 (http://www.lxforums.com/board/album.php?albumid=21)

Ok now, Question: what color should I go with on my stag. fit vipers. (20inch) that would go well with my car???? Problem is all the damn colors look good on my car..

Comp grey?
Gloss black?
Flat black?
Satin Black?
Machine face with black pockets?

Please post pics to help me make up my mine. Thanks in advance.

OK, here's my opinion:

GO WITH 22s MAN!!!!!!

You know it looks sooooooo much better. YOU KNOW IT!!!!

Second, while I do think all the colors would look good, I think the best choice is definitely the machined/brushed aluminum face with black pockets. If I had your ride, Id put a staggered set of 22s on in that finish with like a 315/35 in the back..... or something insane like that, and be done with it.

I know Pat, 22's do look good. But I fell in love with the look and feel of 20's. I mean the weight will not matter cause, im going to spin them to hell anyways..LOL but yes, it is hard to stay away from the 22's...so hard..

I put the 22's on mine for the simple fact that the Viper 20s look small...My gactory 20s looked right bit to me the 20Vipers look small...Im sure its optical illusion but look at some of the cars with 20s and some with 22s...to me the 20s look small....JMO....

As far as color....Its up to you

Do the 20x10 and 22x10 fit in the rear of the SRT8 cars with no problems?

I would go gloss black to match your front lip and grill.

Do the 20x10 and 22x10 fit in the rear of the SRT8 cars with no problems?

As long as they are the correct offsets, either one of those wheels should fit back there with no problems.

Yeah I have been trying to decide if I wanted to stay with my factory Bee 20's or go with some 22" Vipers, so I understand your frustration. It is a tough decision.

Its because, the factory wheels really do look good...but the vipers are pure sex on a beach......IMO:racing:

I want comp grey in staggered 20x10 on the rear with the car lowered but I am afraid of the fit and would hate like hell to have to roll the fenders...

man i have been doing this for months now. it's to know someone else is struggling with this decision. i know i want 20's but do not know if i want comp grey to machine with black face. i have a black 300 srt.

for you i would first decide if i want stealth and sleek or more visible and blingy. stealth and mean looking i go comp grey. 22" WILL KILL your performance. tire weight rim weight and lowering your gear ratio. just my opinion. let me know what you decide.

BUT lowered on 22's trumps all!!!

these pics from member's rides here speak for themselves!!! 22's all the way:

AND, definitely do the machined face/black pockets on your silver!!!!!!!

With the color of your car I would agree on the machined face. :beerchug:

If it were me, and it neaarly was... The only option IMO were the machined face 22's. There is just something that doesn't appeal to me in the 20 Viper. What ever you go with, its gonna look good. Just would hate for you to kickin yourself in the future for not goin with the extra 2 inches. It just looks so damn smooth.

well, i have a silver car too. i have also lowered on 22"s. while that looked sick, i'll never do 22"s again. i am paranoid for ride quality so on 22"s i just lost it. was always trying to change shocks or something else just to get a better ride qulity.

now here's a picture to replace my words

yeah, i love the look of 22"s but i'll never be able to stand the crappy ride.

your car would look good on 20"s for sure cos u have all those ground effect parts. my car is stock suspension but i have reasons to believe it sits lower than other SRTs because people always ask(even srt magnum owners) and i have almost lost my front bumper from contact with the ground

Lot of people say there ride went to crap with 22,s...I swapped out my factory 20s with viper 22's, w/ 265/35 and my ride is still fine...my car isnt lowered either...I wanted 20's with stock ride hight but the vipers just look small to me in 20's so I went ahead and got the 22's..I love them no complaints here

i dunno if its because you drive a 300 which might be tuned more for a luxury ride than the dodge LXs. 22"s definitely send the ride to crap in my magnum on stock suspension. the car does not take bumps very well. everything just shakes when i go through bumps or rough road. i did also run 265/35/22 with pirellis which were also good tires.

here's my suggestion.

if u were cool with the ride quality on your old 22"s, go with that size cos bigger looks better.

but if u were minutely concerned for the ride quality on your old 22"s, go with 22"s as the fill the fender well just as much only with more rubber in the picture than in the 22" picture
