Hey guys,
I'm in need of getting some new tires. I'd like to go bigger and was thinking of the Vred's 275/40's as I've read they should be good for rain and have no clearance issues. (correct?)
Just wondering a few questions. Is there something else better for wet Florida conditions?
Will the wheel to tire gap be larger due to the 40 measurement?
Can you use coilovers with this size tire and still not have clearance issues?
Where is the best place to get these from?
Thanks guys!
Chris

We just put the Vreds (275's) on the Bee and I love them. No clearance issues issues at all. I still have stock suspension and they do fill in the gap much better. We purchased ours from Fairmount Tire and Rubber, Inc. in Los Angeles. Not sure what they charge for shipping because we picked them up. They had the best price we could find and even came down when my husband asked if that was the best they could do. We've had some rain lately around here and they seem to do well in it. They handle very well on dry roads.

Thanks for the reply Sweet! Did you go for the 275/40's all around? Can you pm me with what you paid for them, so I have a reference point.

The 275/40's are .1 inch larger in diameter. There are no clearance issues even with a lowered car as there is plenty of room in the wheel wells.

Ebay would probably be your best bet to get them for a decent price.
