If we can get enough people willing to commit to the purchase of 25 sets or more we can get Hoosier Drag Slicks in 28" dia. 10" wide for a 17" rim. This would allow keeping the big brembo's while running full slicks. If you would buy a set please post here.

I have a forum vendor who will put this together if we can find 25 people willing to put down a deposit. Someone asked about 17" rims as well and this could possibly be ordered as well. Right now I just wanted to see if we can get 25 people who are interested in these tires now.

Are these custom slicks just for the select 25 who sign up? How much coin per set?

Is thr slick 10" or is that the size of the wheel that's needed

I believe the rim width recommendation would be 8" - 10" based on their other slicks. The tire is 10" wide. For Hoosier to make this size requires a minimum order of 25 sets. My discussion with the vendor is they would then stock and sell this size for the SRT8 crowd as there is no true slicks solution larger than a 16" wheel being made now. This is only going to happen if enough people who race want this size and don't want to change their brakes to make a 16" wheel fit. The only option 17" now is drag radials and we have all seen the issues making those hook.

Are there any additional safety requirements at the track for cars running slicks. Just want to make sure I figure on that cost as well.

As far as price goes, I will watch the forums and if there is real interest I will have the vendor determine a selling price. I do believe once they make this size the vendor will continue to supply them to the SRT crowd. As I said before there is no 17" wheel size slicks made by anyone right now. This would be targeting the needs of the SRT market with a new product. A ballpark price of $ 200.00 /ea.

Just a heads up for everyone on "Slicks". Alot of events, talking about the ones we do at ETown, do not allow slicks to be used in our class.

This could be big for the dodge truck community also.

Yep, that'd help make it work. I'll call Hoosier in the morning.

Wow I would love, also desperately need, a slick VS DR's. Just don't want to grind the calipers on my Ram and then buy a new pair of rims. Size sounds great too! Count me in!!

To prevent any confusion the $ 100.00 is the deposit required per tire to get in on the group buy. The total price per tire should be close to $ 199/ea but will be determined by March 3 and should be posted then.
