Looking to remove chrome from......

Looking to remove the chrome inserts on the front and rear bumpers.Blacked out the hole car last year and the only chrome left is the ones on the bumper.Just wondering if i do remove them will there be holes and how hard was it to remove the chrome.Or do i have to color match them.Thanks

yep.....you will need to fill the holes.

I saw a car that had all the strips and badges painted black to match the car... looked pretty good actually. I was very surprised. It gave it a very tasteful subdued look.

If this is the piece you're talking about they're not "real" chrome -- it's just a plastic trim piece held onto the fascia by tabs with clips. I'm sure you can get replacement pieces but they may need to be painted which you can DIY or have your favorite paint shop do it for you.

I presume you're talking 300 here --- You might be able to reach the clips from the underneath, not sure how much handroom is in there with the cover on the car.

yep a 300 the front is no prblem what about the rear never removed the rear bumper

Be very careful if you live in a colder climate getting them painted.Mine are paint over chrome and I am currently looking for the non chrome style since mine are peeling.

hemi31 i see you have the c.i got the limited and have the thin chrome inserts on the bumper do they come in black.i live in NY also and started to have problems with my rear emblem peeling
