I have one of them my dad got. He flew P-51's in the 2nd WW. Also have a paper clipping from a Long Beach, Calif paper about the first german fighter he shot down.

VERY COOL. You have to have that all mounted in a nice display for your living room.

Thats some cool stuff! your not doing it justice just displaying it like that but I understand some people really dont care about metals. My old LT Brian Jackson earned the Distinguished Service Cross and does not even have it displayed in his house. You can read about his service. Its all about personal preference.

That is an amazing article... (what I could read) and a wonderful medal..

Suggestion..... Scan the artcle in (and other paper work).. make a vacume sealed picture box for everthing.. so it will last forever.. Allowing your grandchildren to know what a great man your grandfather was...

Dont let that article break down.. it will int he air.. and when it does.. make sure you have it scanned so it can be read and re-read for generations to come
