I have a set of KW V2s that I will be receiving (thanks clean300c) in the next week. I am debating whether I should install them before I can get the camber correction parts or not. Does anyone have any input? Will the tires wear that bad in 2 months? Would I save $$$ on the install if I installed them all at once? The rear bushings are no problem, but the front arms are $$$$. I won't have the cash for the camber parts for at least a month or two, or three. Also, any suggestions on camber solutions....ie pedders vs SPC and are there any other ways to correct the front camber without buying the full arms?

Thanks

Well it depends on how manys miles you are going to put on your car... if you put miles on it everyday... then I would do everything at once... it should be cheaper in labor... if it is a weekend car... then you can wait... it shouldn't do to much damage on the inner tires...

I have the SPC stuff and I love it...

Also there is no other way to do the front without changing the arms...

Just a little FYI... Eibach also has them and they are cheaper and guess what... they are made by SPC... go figure...

Hope that this helps...

I did not need the front camber kit. The dealer was able to dial in the fronts to "within specs". However I did need the kit for the rear. The LX has two different size bushings in the rear, so make sure to get the right one. I had to re-order. I have the SPC kit and I got mine from Amazon for less than tirerack price!

if the front isnt out by much, chrysler used to issue out "correcting" bolts for the lower control arms and tension struts. they can take a couple points of camber out, but no more. you replace the lower control arm bolt, and push the arm in the 1/8th of an inch or so it will go, then tighten it up. this might be enough for you. as for the rear, chrysler also sells lengthened rear camber links, but they are cast iron, and pricey. my check showed 500 bucks for a pair. i'll try and find the part number for the offset bolts somewhere. i believe it was in an early 05 TSB for steering pull.

for comparison, with my V1's lowered 2 inches or so (on an RT)
front camber is -1.25 degrees
rear camber is -1.5 degrees

after lowering my car, i got a full alignment done and was able to get back to within specs. whilst camber is an issue, toe in is more important to correct on these cars so im told.

send me your email addy and ill forward you a copy of the chrysler tsb with the updated alignment specs in it with instructions on how to do a cradle adjustment to adjust the camber.

Nice info. How low did you go? So, should I grab the rear kit, and then see what they can do with the front? Did the dealer install the correcting bolts Fargo mentioned in the front? Good call on amazon...I'll take a look.
