Are there rims out there that you can't run TPMS's on? I am hearing a few different things and just wanted to be sure.
If not...is there a way to not run the TPMS's on my '06? Maybe a nice fuse pull or something?

As far as I know the TPMS sensors are very small and unobtrusive. They should fit just fine. If they do not or you decide not to install them, build a PVC torpedo out of schedule 120 pvc. Slip the sensors in the tube, seal it with a tire valve installed. pressurize it to about 40psi, throw it in the trunk and your light will stay off. It's up to you to keep your tires in check, but that's old school, no problem.
Good luck.

The BIG silly question is I thought the entire metal valve assembly is simply unscrewed from the rim itself right? Can anyone screw this into any rim? Is this kind of standardized? Again, I know little about this stuff. I assumed most rims have the hole and then the valve sits in there like a rubber grommet does. These metal TPMS valves look like they screw in instead...am I totally off here?

YES They fit, they mount from the inside of the rim, and the valve fits though the hole in the rim.. no there is no way to turn off the light.

They are threaded. The nut just clamps against the valve seat.
