I went to a store in Rochester today, as I pulled in to the parking lot, which is a 2 lane parking lot aisle road I see a young couple walking towards me, she is on the far right and he is walking down the middle of the right lane. So I figure no problem I'll just go to the far left, and let them continue on their way. well as I go to the left, he walks in front of me and stands directly in my path so I stop and he starts yelling WTF are you doing so on and so forth, I look over at his girl friend and she has speed to a trot towards the store leaving him in the dust like she does not know him. After a minute he finally walks past the right side of my car and calls me a s.o.b, and thats when I blow my top with this guy and start to get out of the car to beat him in to a puddle of s**t that he is. I turn to look at him and i see he has taken down his sweatshirt hood and I can now see he is a zit faced punk kid.:banghead::doh: I told him to get the hell out of the middle of the road, and get back in my car. As I start to leave I hear him say, "I have the right of way, I'm a pedestrian".
Which I agree with, and is the reason he does have tread marks over the top of him.
Now I wonder WTF this kid was thinking, No one is aloud to drive in the same parking lot he walks in?

If he intentionally walked in front of me after I swerved to the side to avoid him, he'd be a speed bump...

We have issues with that at the colleges. The law in NYS is that you have to yeild right of way to a Pedestrian IN the crosswalk.........that means if they are crossing when you get there Stop.....it doesn't mean they get to run out in front of you in a 35mph zone and expect you to stop......and the moronic campus police have not yet figured out they can ticket the little pukes for doing so.

Well #1 I would not call it a swerve, since I was only doing 3 to 5 mph. Yes I'm the slow a hole in the parking lots. And #2 I guess I'm just alittle nicer than you.
I always yield to pedestrians, and I always drive slow in parking lots, but the people walking to or from their cars also have a civic duty to stick to one side and not walk down the middle so as to intentionally impede the flow of traffic.
I would've snapped a bolt on the pimply faced little puke too.

You should've just clipped him, not run him over, but winged him to teach him a lesson. If he's so close that your mirror "accidently" slaps him, well what else could you have done?

Hey, at the SPA09 M&G, don't forget to let me introduce you to my friend, Tim, as in inTimidator. I use him, er, it, to intimidate idiots in situations such as this. Tim is usually in my car with me where ever I go.

Exactly, but why did he go from the right side to the left to stop me on purpose?:doh:One of those bizarre thing you scratch your head about.

I'm honored you named it after me!!

Because he's an asshat. Behind the wheel he's probably one of those guys that drives slow in the left lane, then speeds up to block you if you try to pass them on the right.

Yep, every community needs a "Stupid Hole". Some folks just can't be fixed and we all need some place to put them.

Yep... the ONE time I truly wish I could sit there and burn off the rear tires....
Hopefully they'd realize, "Hmmm... if this guy just relaxes his foot a little... I'm pavement pizza!" and then get the he## out of the way!
There's a village somewhere missing their idiot.

The kid probably recently got a ticket for running down some people in a crosswalk, so now he assumes that he can walk anywhere he wants and cars will bow to him.
Here in downtown we have people that will cross on a red (my green) and I refuse to slow down. I came within a few feet of one dude that didn't bother to speed up to cross. He was yelling pretty good at me and he got the one finger salute when I passed him.
Ahh, good times....

^^^Exactly
If he intentionally walked in front of me after I swerved to the side to avoid him, he'd be a speed bump...
Only if I didn't have room to accelerate, if I did...:racing: he'd be a hood ornament...LOL
If you drive around the UNM Campus you get that a lot, they will intentionally slow their pace so you have to wait on them.... all are Minors and think you owe them something.....yep we do....a swift kick in the arsse that their Mommy and Daddy didn't give em.
I feel your pain man
Dave
I find they tend to move out of the way rather rapidly if you smoke the rear wheels while waiting for them to cross.

I would have paid some other random kid in the parking lot $20 to beat his a$$... Oh also rember in NYS fault is pretty much always 50/50 in a parking lot.
Think I may put one of these on the JGCSRT

Mebbe his one joy in life is people stopping to let him pass. Dunno, but the pedestrian laws out here in Cali are a form of reverse-Darwinism. Most pedestrians don't bother to look before crossing a street/aisle any more so I have to be super paranoid in just about any populated area, never mind my loud ass car. Then again, everyone seems to have an ipod or a phone to their ears.

My wife and I have this kind of conversation ALL THE TIME ! I coached HS basketball for 17 years, and she's a District Court commissioner. We've decided that all this behavior comes down to a lack of respect. Much of this younger generation has no respect for themselves , much less anyone else. I watched kids being disrespectful to coaches, referees, opponents, spectators, and even teammates. My wife was flipped-off for asking a kid to remove his hat in court !! He's lucky she threw him in jail instead of me getting hold of him. Just look at these kids today. They pretty much mutilate themselves with tats and piercings , and walk around with their arses hanging out ( none of them realize that fashion comes from prison "bitches" ). NO RESPECT. And unfortunately, a beating probably won't correct the problem, only make you feel better for a little while.
