Some time ago I put a set of Hemi tailights in my 300 Limited and did some creative wiring for the brake lights. Now I would like to do some painting,,, inside the assemblies, just to make them a little different from all the other Hemi lights out there. I've thought of painting the outside, but that's been done.
I remember seeing some posts on baking the tail lights some time ago,, with varying results and opinions on the subject.
Now I can't find the posts/threads. I'm beginning to wonder if the threads were in a different forum.
If anyone can point me in the right direction, I would surely appreciate it.
Thanks folks,,, have a great weekend!

200 degrees for 10-15 min should open them right up, at least thats what it took for my headlights to come apart...

not to discount what black mag is saying but just recently I read in the AAC forum that the tailights are actually glued together. A member had a small write up about getting them apart. hopes this helps

Actually since we build the tail lights I can tell you that they are vibration welded together and the only way to take them apart is to either cut or break them apart, heat will only warp or melt the acrylic lenses.

^^
I was going to say I thought they were plastic welded.
I could be wrong.

Rats,, oh well. It was a thought.
Thanks.
Another thought, seeing as how you build them, how about selling me a pair that are not welded together yet?
Thanks,
David.
