December 2008 Photo Contest - "It's a Wonderful Life"

Congratulations to joe incognito (http://www.lxforums.com/board/showthread.php?t=140480), last month's winner!

This month's theme will be: It's a Wonderful Life
Submission Deadline: Sunday, December 14th

Since it is that time of the year, whether you celebrate Xmas, Hanukkah, or just celebrate, the theme will be "It's a Wonderful life" ala Frank Capra

Take a pic of your LX in a setting that reflects whats important to you this season, friends, family hearth and home, its up to you.

UPDATE: With only two submissions, and four days to the deadline, we've gotta change it up:

Here's the rules, folks:

1) One entry per member, per contest.
2) Member must take photo.
3) Member's LX must be in the photo.
[-]4) Photograph must be taken for this contest - no previous shots allowed.[/-]
4) Prior shots are welcome, unless it's already been submitted for a contest.
5) Photoshopping is not allowed except for modifying the license plate, brightness and contrast, and crop/resize.
6) Maximum size - 800 x 600. Oversize photos will not be allowed. Resizing available if needed.
7) The winner will be responsible for deciding upon the theme of the following month's contest, and is not eligible to participate in that contest.


OK, I think we had a good thing last month with the changes we made (http://www.lxforums.com/board/showthread.php?t=137222). The deadline this month is yet a little bit earlier - right at the middle of the month - and it will stay there from here on out - that spreads the notices on the Portal page out a bit from each other.

Submissions should be posted to THIS thread, any time through Sunday, December 14th. Submissions posted elsewhere will not be counted.

Voting will begin on a separate thread as soon as the submission deadline passes.

So get out your camera, and go capture the spirit of the season! Let's see what you can come up with.

Well, folks - I haven't spoken to Ron about this - but we have one submission. I think we'd better broaden the theme just a bit.

The way I see it, "the season" doesn't have to have anything to do with the Holidays - it could be the weather, the leaves changing, whatever. If that doesn't get more submissions coming in, we may have to open it up to a best of the year (prior shots allowed) or something...
