What do you guys think i would run with a 125 shot? I ran 13.2 @ 104 n/a with good traction. I think i can run a mid to low 12, what do you guys think.

it will all depend on how well the car hooks and how soon you can apply full power.

I think you'll reach atleast a mid 12 on a 100 shot if you are spraying after the 60' mark.

I would say as long as you have the traction mid-low 12s should be no problem.

With a 125 I would think an 11 possible.

If I may ask, why are you running a Jet Chip with the Predator (saw it in your mod list)?

You better have upgraded axles if you spray off the line.....I snapped mine on street tires trying to shoot off the line.

You'll need a 2800 rpm stall tq converter if you plan to blast right off the line. Also you will need to let it hook up first or it will just spin out and go safe mode. I'm shooting a 100 pill and if I hit it below 32-3300 rpm, transmission will freak out. Try a 100 shot until you completely feel out how she's gonna hook up. If traction is good, I launch at 2800, MT drag radials will only spin 1 or 2 revolutions then bite hard at 3200 or so I hit the nitrous. If traction is good I'm off like a jackrabbit, if it sucks, but I can let off the button quick enough I can still hook back up and get a halfassed run in, if it completely blows traction, you'll be sitting there like a fool till you put back to park and do a restart.

good luck and nice run, as for half shafts i haven't broke one and spray out of the hole on my converter at 2800rpm, best run below

is that on stock half shafts? Im always paranoid about mine but if you are spraying out of the hole with no probs I might give it a try. Are you easing the pedal, or just punching it?

I have sprayed mine of the line at the track and let me tell u man ether u hook are u spin the tires off I feel that spraying it at 60ft would be better on 100 shot i ran 12.7 so I think u might be able to run 12 and maybe even high 11s that a 125 shot man.. but the fact is that u got to hook man or u will c very little improvment..

yep on stock half shafts and sprayin off the line and i just punched it.

Yup I ran my best time spraying at 2700rpm and the converter locks up at 2800 on stock half shafts, the car ran great, and yes Silver C, if you muck around with your tune in the predator you will break into the 11's...Good luck man!

ARe the halfshafts really a concern for C? He's basically running RT drivetrain and I thought the halfshafts were doing ok in the RTs...Only the SRTs have been a problem correct?

Some highly modded R/T's have broken half shafts too.. SRT's have been known to break half shafts on street tires alone. If your SRT "slips and grips" on DR's you are almost guaranteed to snap one.

I sprayed of the line it was on the street Racin a SS i Left the line a snap there went my Half Shaft I was mad but that was I get for being dumb then i got another half shaft and then had to fix it it gets to be a pain in the ass but it is not hard u must have patience

What I do is run the 93cai tune and pull 6 degress timing to start and only above 3k this way you get a harder launch, once you have run the car you will notice harder shifts better excelaration and so on, once you have a run or two you can change the timing up to 4 degress removed if you haven't already run into the 11's, I don't think I would go any closer to zero unless I was running race fuel.

something I do when racing,
1. dataloging, I have my total knock retard on display as it will tell you everything you need to know, Some knock is normal 2.5 degress is all i usually get but that may depend on where you are and altitude, if you are getting a bigger spike then 2.5 degress add fuel through the sweep but not under 3k as you want the best launch possible.
2. Dyno tune if you dont already have one, preferably by a shop that can CMR tune for you would be Ideal.

Congrats Tony!! Thats a very impressive time considering the '60.

I have been swamped with work lately (its a good thing) so I havent had a chance to really take advantage of the good air we have been getting down here.. Come to think of it I havent made a pass down the 1/4 since the Shindig!!:panic:

The air was just about perfect at Palm Beach last night. I think with some drag radials I could have been in the 11's easily. Hope to see you back at the track soon.

Very nice time & and yes for every 10th of sec at the start is 2/10th's and the end, drag radials would have put you into the 11's for sure, it's funny that's what happened to me all year untill my drag radials finally arrived, i was running 12.05, 12.1, 12.09, put on the drag radials and with no real burnout 11.99 and then I heated them up real nice and boom 11.82@114 what a difference, i hoping with the new cam and head work aswell as 150 shot I should be in the real low 11's or 10's, we shall see, congrats on the time again man!!!
