What's your next mod, fellow Club LX'er??

I thought I'd start a thread here too.... Fred has started about 99% of the threads so far ;)

So what's your next plan of modding? Interior, exterior, engine work, wheels?

For me, I'm on a little modding hiatus right now but am working on something to be revealed in the beginning of next year - mum's the word on that right now ;)

Eventually I'll be digging into the engine but for the time being, only the above project plus maybe some BT stuff here and there are in my plans for now.

ok, ok...calm down...

I'm not exactly sure yet...as of recent I cut me a hole in the piping just before the resonator so it's louder over stock. I'm still waiting on the Blastin Bob Single reso delete kits to be made but I couldn't wait for the sound any longer.

I'm also in the middle of painting the calipers red and looking at getting new light bulbs. Thinking about the Oracles from AAC but still iffy about getting them. My service tech who also owns a silver Magnum SRT8, also told me I should swap the Goodyears for either Kuhmo's or Toyo's. The suck on the edges causing alot of wear and noise. After that I think I'll be done with the car.

I have my sights set on engine mods for late winter / early spring. Inertia Premium 5.7L Big Valve Heads & Spartan Cam. Right now Just a couple of one offs from Billet.

Everything is on hold for me until after my wedding next month. But soon after I'm gonna get hooked up by 402 Performance. It's time now for some go fast goodies. Spartan Max Cam, If in the budget maybe heads, Corsa Cat-Back and high flow cats. During the winter we are gonna smooth the intake manifold and powder it black. Also maybe dress up under the hood with some 402 Motoring color matched valve covers and coils and match the Mopoar CAI and some BT goodies. Then Spring I need to find Shanon a house or maybe first get Ernie to paint my door speaker grills...:)

I am looking to swap out my Franks internals, and replce them with Inertia gear. Also looking forward to getting Ernie cranky again, with some hood pins that should be in already! :banghead: Lori called yesterday and said some other stuff came in yesterday too!

I've also thought about doing HIDs. Some good kits out there for reasonable prices.
Right after New Years I plan on finally getting the Predator as well and sell the SC unit which I'm still enjoying very much.

Underdrive Pulley and large TB this winter.

Behind that the next major upgrade is a Challenger for me and the 300 to the wife. I will swap my 426 into the Chally and give my wife I nice new stock 6.1 :)

I did a tiny mod today. I pulled of the Hemi Emblem on the fenders and replaced them with the '71 Charger script emblems that match the rear emblem but are smaller. Waiting for the 345 Hemi emblems from Mopower that will go on the sides of the hood.

Baggin' my 300. Color-matched Tails & Front sidemarkers. BT Catch Can. New Color-matched Grill...searching for just the right one. Might be able to find a way to get some 22" SRT replica's by the end of next season too.

My '06 Black R/T is bone stock. I'll need winter tires...that's not a mod, but black police steelies might come with them. Other than that, a black SRT grille (no emblem) to replace the stock chrome grille. With that, I'm thinking one of the old school script "Charger" emblems for the grille.

Hmmm! I actually think I'm about done with exterior mods. Other than painting the hood stripes and spoiler before spring I'm going to add that roof line spoiler and change out the RT style rear diffuser for the SRT type. My 345 HEMI emblems should be here any day for the hood from billet and I think thats it! Interior wise I could use some custom floor mats for the show season. Other than that I don't think there is anything else I want to do.
If and when the economy picks ups I'll look to do the heads and cam performance wise. Unless the construction industry picks up in NYC by spring I won't be spending a nickle on anything.

OK let's boot this up again.

None of the coming mods will be done for the next M&G as it's in about a week but maybe for the next one.

I'll be getting a Spartan cam (obviously) and some JBA headers. LX Guru extraordinaire mr. Ernie will be handling that when we have all our ducks in a row.

Ernie is also working on another couple of things which we can hopefully get done at the same time so my car will enter the shop in its current state and come out both sounding and performing better and also looking much better.

Right now I'm holding out for the 402 roof line spoiler and every thing else is on hold. With the construction industry getting slaughtered in NY because of this economic mess we are in I'm afraid to spend any serious money. We laid off 6 people today. Until I feel a little more secure when ever that will be I'm turning off the mod machine! Really wanted to do the engine mods this spring so this whole thing stinks. I was hoping to finally have my car completed to where I wanted it to be. Maybe things will turn around later this year and do the engine mods in the winter. Sure doesn't look like that will happen right now, January has been a scary month bringing unemployment to record numbers.

They don't look to showy being that my car is black. The painted and tint is black so it blends
very nice. You really have to look to see the combo. If your car is a contrasting color they will
stand out.
