Guys and gals, thank you so much for this honor. I still feel like others deserve it more, but since you clearly disagree with me, I'll humbly accept it and in return, I offer you this look into my life.

A brief bio: My real name is Jason. I was born 27 years ago to two parents that always supported and encouraged me, even when my sometimes crazy ideas would get very expensive. I played baseball all through high school, and was drafted in 1995 by the Kansas City Royals. I was never any good, but I was big, tall and could throw a baseball really REALLY hard. Just don't ask me where it was going...

Soon after being drafted, my shoulder gave out and there ended my baseball dreams. I then turned my attention back to school and finished college with a degree in Computer Science. I promptly took that degree and helped start a company dedicated to automation controls for industrial applications (robots!). I've now moved on and have spawned company #2; a group specific to producing products for the car wash controls and store management industry (robots, but those that wash cars.)

During the whirlwind that was high school, baseball and college, I married the love of my life, Joyce. She and I have four kids; 1 dog, 2 (really dumb) cats and a tortoise. We live very happily together and always find a way to laugh at life's joys and pains. Our Magnum has been one of those joys.

We met in high school, in auto shop. I had a built up 1970 El Camino and I was always tweaking it in some way. One class, she walked over and asked if I could show her how to replace disc brake pads. It was love at first auto repair.

When I'm not working or messing around with the Magnum, I can usually be found down at my airfield goofin with RC planes. I'm the second guy from the left in the picture; this was taken at a "Fun Fly" event at our club... we're preparing to drag race the planes. I took second; guess I needed a CAI on that .46cc engine!!

I've always been a fan of the slightly more than stock look, and that has translated into some very subtle mods on the Mag: silver turn signal bulbs, shaved badges, a 1970 R/T emblem painted Cool Vanilla to match.. all designed to enhance the stock appearance and yet still stay true to it. I'm holding off doing any performance mods until after the Face-Off, but I've got some fun plans there as well.

When reading the boards and enjoying everyone's unique take on our LX, I flash back to those high school days. The willingness to help, encourage, screw-up... its all part of this great community we share at LXForums.com. One that I'm proud to be a member of.

I am humbled and grateful for the LXOM honor. I hope to earn it with solid reliable Face-Off results and any other help I can offer. I truly feel I've been the taker here more than I've been the giver guys, but rest assured I'll be working to turn those tables. :)

Hehe Joyce just read this and flipped out. "4 kids eh? And here I thought you were actually out flying planes!" :D

I guess I need to clarify; the 4 kids ARE the pets. In terms of human kids, we are still having too much fun being aunt/uncle to our many neices/nefews. Its soooo nice to just hand them back over ;)
