**Update** Okay guys....After some good communications from Tommy, I have tracking!!!!! They have been picked up by FedEx, and show that I should have them on this Thursday the 18th!!!! So Tommy looks to have started a turn around as he has been saying he is trying to do! So I want everyone to TRY to take the positives out of this thread! He came through, and for that I am grateful!

Sorry to here but not suprised. you should have read all the theads about his terrible service, lack of responses and broken promises. Since when can the sender reverse a paypal transaction?

Not sure if he's moving on or just just trying to shaft more forum members but I got email today that he is now supporting vendor on charger Z forum.

I have to agree with lowriderman on this as well. Paying to be a vendor doesn't give you carte blanche for an entire year to false advertise, bait and switch, hoodwink, and/or anything else that is not absolutely above board and respectable. As this forum should be, and has been.

He has nothing I want either, but that's not really the point. I've heard too many stories of his unprofessional, quasi-criminal behavior and I would hope he'd eventually be removed from the forum. Even if it meant giving him his money back. He'd probably even be surprised by that one. Granted, most on here know of his already poor reputation, but what about all the new folks that join the forum and get duped by him as their first impression of what it's like to buy from someone advertising here at LXForums?

This really is bad. Not only is Mark a good customer to us, he is a good friend to serveral BT members. Again, seeing another one get boned, well, I have alread went off before. Those just reading a post from me just search out my prior posts. You will find what I think.

TZ you claim you are changing and want to improve. Hey here is a concept. Have the product boxed up, then send the customer a money request via paypal. Its real easy and clean. After you get that money request head on over to the computer ok, and make up a shipping lable and invoice and have the product out the door within 24-48 hours except weekends and holidays. Its easy. Hell its so easy my coworker Neal had his young son in here last week on a half school day or whatever it was and that kid was a shipping wizard here. This kid is 8-10 years old, and he can do it, why can't you?

Do the right thing.

You dont actually reverse it from your end, but Paypal will eventually..I filed the dispute to start the process, and they will freeze the funds until the dispute it over..BUT if he has taken the $$ out, then they have little or no chance on getting them back.

I have to say the Heidi and Dan are nothing but a Class Act. What is happening here is really starting to worry me. LX Forums is a tight knit community. If the members here are loosing their trust that we as vendors will do right by them they are not going to buy from us. I don't know about the other vendors but Lori and I greatly depend on you guys. If it wasn't for you we would be nothing. Situations like this cause people to stop and think twice about buying from the vendors here. It hurts us all. Lori and I have worked really hard to earn your trust. Its not always easy and we are only human, but we try to do our best with each sale we make. I hope that things will turn around soon here.

Heidi you rock!!!! For those of you who do not know, Oak Park is a burb on the north west side of Detroit. Tommy's shop is in my hometown of Sterling Heights (which shames me ) on the north east side of Detroit. This is not how true Detroiter's roll. We are hardworking, honest people. Real Detroiters are not like the ex mayor of the city, and they are not like Tommy!

Anyone in Detroit, Tommy's shop is (was in March) at mound rd and 18 mile. Maybe someone could stop by and ask him what's up.....

Heidi and the gang at BT are top notch and I am glad I continue to buy their product and support them.

I would have probably done the same thing as you would have done and given him the benefit of the doubt and sent money expecting to get the producy he said he had.

This is a great point. I liken it to shopping at a mall. Some of the stores are ok, some are so so and some are fantastic. If some of the stores in that mall start failing you, then you begin to dislike the whole mall and go down to the new mega mall next to James Coney Hot Dogs. You know the one. Our vendor force is a shopping mall in space. And there are a few vendors that are dropping the ball. There is no law that says they HAVE to be great salesman, builders, suppliers or installers. But when they fail the consumer, all of the vendors will suffer eventually. A newcomer to this forum may look at the vendor isle as a walk through a mine field. Avoid it and drive down to Auto Zone, eeeeeks.

Mark call the attorney general where TZ runs his biz and report this as an Internet scam. Use the info posted on the forum as other examples. Internet fraud carries stiff penalties similar to mail fraud. The AG will investigate it.

A guy down the street here sold fake war swords on the net and was turned into the AG. He is now serving 3 years because others complained as well.It's a new word with internet sales. So damn many scammers and the Government loves those big fines they can add to the cougher.

In my opinion Tommy basically has pyramid scheme in which he uses new peoples money to fulfill orders from 6-9 monthes ago. Things are starting to come to head as people want there charger hoods. Let's think about this....is supporters claim how busy he is with so much work? why would he go and sign up as a supporting vendor on chargerZ forum other then to get people to make him a 0% loan by getting people to place orders. He shouldn't need new orders if he has a 6 -9 month backlog of orders.

I guarrantee that if the charger hood buyers requested a refund they will not get it because he dosen't have it in my opinion!!! Tommy is dreamer with beer money and champange taste(I question if he even has beer money).

Tommy claims he's not a thief, but in my opinion what I have seen and heard he a thief. But as usually Tommy will come on Monday night or Tuesday after his long customer financed weekend and say a few words about how if is trying and he will skate another week.:doh:

Ernie, if this doesn't get the attention of the Moderators I don't know what will. You are well within reason to wonder how this will affect your Vendor status on the Forums ... one bad apple syndrome ... No I haven't lost any money, but that doesn't preclude my ability to comment on the MANY threads that are now running rampant regarding the TommyZ matter ... that's because this IS a community and we are OBLIGATED to look out for each other ...

Oh and a quick note to the n00bs ... if you want to know who's telling it like it is here, we decided a while back that "post counts" didn't mean squat here ... but just glance up at the upper right hand corner of the last few posters and look at the Date that we joined to get an idea of how much we have experienced and park your mouse over all those Green Beans for a second to see the legend "Bow to this person" ... we didn't get that status by sitting around letting our fellow members get screwed ...

We've seen them come and we've seen them go ... my advice to anyone considering placing an order with TommyZ Designs right now is to find another mod and find a better vendor ...

For those of you who do not know, Oak Park is a burb on the north west side of Detroit. Tommy's shop is in my hometown of Sterling Heights (which shames me ) on the north east side of Detroit. This is not how true Detroiter's roll. We are hardworking, honest people. Real Detroiters are not like the ex mayor of the city, and they are not like Tommy!

In my opinion Tommy basically has pyramid scheme in which he uses new peoples money to fulfill orders from 6-9 monthes ago. Things are starting to come to head as people want there charger hoods. Let's think about this....is supporters claim how busy he is with so much work? why would he go and sign up as a supporting vendor on chargerZ forum other then to get people to make him a 0% loan by getting people to place orders. He shouldn't need new orders if he has a 6 -9 month backlog of orders.

I guarrantee that if the charger hood buyers requested a refund they will not get it because he dosen't have it in my opinion!!! Tommy is dreamer with beer money and champange taste(I question if he even has beer money).

I have to say the Heidi and Dan are nothing but a Class Act. What is happening here is really starting to worry me. LX Forums is a tight knit community. If the members here are loosing their trust that we as vendors will do right by them they are not going to buy from us. I don't know about the other vendors but Lori and I greatly depend on you guys. If it wasn't for you we would be nothing. Situations like this cause people to stop and think twice about buying from the vendors here. It hurts us all. Mark call the attorney general where TZ runs his biz and report this as an Internet scam. Use the info posted on the forum as other examples. Internet fraud carries stiff penalties similar to mail fraud. The AG will investigate it.

Perhaps you do have some strife occurring in your life as many people do from time to time. It does not feel good does it? By jacking these people you are forcing your problems onto them. If it is true that you would "give the shirt off your back" you would not be causing so much turmoil in the lives of others.

Put the brakes on everything but fulfilling your commitments to these people. Sit down tonight with your open orders and create a firm delivery schedule rather going out. Then communicate this schedule with every customer and for once meet your damn commitment.Exercise some discipline. I think you will see how forgiving people can be.

People have a right to express their views and that is why this forum exists. All of the people in here writing in this thread are not messing it up for you and the others, It is Tommy who is doing that. He needs to be honest, care about his customers, communicate fully with them on price, delivery, etc. and a lot of people want him to be forhtcoming in these threads and respond openly for all to see and not go on about how whiteboys stole his design.

Take some responsibility for your actions and/or mistakes and own up to them and start making it right. People are pretty forgiving if you are just honest with them. It is not asking too much.

Okay so to recap:

2. Tommy finally gets a call that that another thread is alive and kicking
3. Tommy makes his post to "make it right". Says to email him.
4. I have sent the requested email and posted here that for sure send the rockers.
5. Had no luck as usual sending a PM since they are most of the time full when you really need to talk with him.

So I now sit and wait to see what becomes of this. Tomorrow I am escalating the Paypal dispute to a claim. He did not respond to the dispute at all, even though he gets sent an email from Paypal.

Understand your position but let me ask you this. Would you rather see nothing like this thread posted for any vendor regardless of what transpires. Basically keep everything under the covers? What if you were a new guy here and saw nothing what-so-ever being said about any vendor. You'd expect to have a pleasant transaction wouldn't you? Then when you get the shaft you'd probably wish there was a way for you to have known not to do business with said vendor?

If a vendor can't keep their respective acts together and conduct business in an ethical manner then they have no right to take people's money and try to pawn wares. IMO everyone needs to be aware of this sort of behavior so they don't waste their paycheck especially if someone is living check-to-check and can't accumilate disposable income for quite a while.

Sure do..I want these because it squares off the sides of the car, but yet I should be able to still lay out the car on AirRide since this kit only extends maybe 3/4" off the body line if that, from what Tommy said. Next was going to be the rear canards, or that rear piece in the pic below.

Hey man I am somewhat of a newbi but just reading these posts sounds like the big cheese needs to do a little something. I saw one post from the director and I believe it was just a fluff off . Personally I would at least send tz a formal letter stating if he does not start owning up to lx standards he will be removed. Its the right thing to do.We have to follow the rules or we are removed I understand so improper advertising on the vendor forum should be not allowed as well. If it were you , you would be as angry.He is not asking you to get his money back or argue for him , he just wants it so no one else gets stung either. Do the smart thing and deepsix his vendor status .

I wasn't just talking to your post, so if you got that impression it wasn't intended that way at all. But really, this forum is not here to discuss policy. It is for the member to tell their story, for the vendor to respond and hopefully for the two to work it out.

Well for an update..I sent the rockers back to Tommy since they just would not work with my AirRide when laid out...Waiting on a refund of my $$ since Thursday which he emailed and said he would.

Send my $$ back Tommy. Does not take but a few seconds to do it since I paid with Paypal. Click on the "refund" button, and bam bam bam! And please don't forget the shipping difference I brought up. I know you will minus the shipping charges, but only the ACTUAL shipping charges. Thanks!
