Sounds like plan. I don't see any reason why we can't pitch and help put this thing together.

Sounds like a great idea to me. The Elmwood Park Zoo is pretty neat, good for the little ones for the families. I know the area intimately because I played softball at the field right next to the Zoo for over 20 years. Great sports bar right up Swede Street about a mile away for beers after the show.
I'm willing to help out also, what do you want from me Claude?

OK I have talk to them today I have a meeting with them next week here is the deal trophies will cost around $600 so 150 cars at $10 does not cover the cost! SO I need to get sponsors for the event which I think I can do but need to get permission to rep the zoo! Which I hoe to get next week. they leave at 4 pm and I get off work at 4PM and am 45 mins away. But I will work on this. I feel this is something we can do. I need to get money for the trophies first. the zoo admin is no problem because we will need food which will cover the cost of getting us in and making money. Everything is about making money or at the least breaking even! So once they let me rep them I can go to VFW's for help and make this is a Welcome the troops event! SO let see where a I am next week! But overall this is something that is doable!

If you want i may be able to help. My in laws are part of a Bike group called Warriors Watch. The were formally part of a group called PGR, Patriot Guard Riders. They actually help organize welcome home escorts for soldiers, Funeral escorts for fallen soldiers ECT. They work with local law inforcement when needed. They've actually closed I95 and 422 a few time escorting troops from Philly airport all the way to reading. An 1 mile long group. There group is pretty big. I believe they told be 3000 strong on the east cost. I can mention it to them and they might be able to get a bunch of bikers out as well. It fits the theme. If its a Welcome Home Troops show, Thats what there all about. Most of them are Vets anyway. Oh and they live within walking distance to the park.
As soon as you get the info and date let me know. I could talk to them if you want.

A Welcome Troops Home event would be great! I am a USAF vet and have several friends that might be willing to help out as well.
Great idea, Claude.
