We are looking to have an LX that we can do a Track 2 kit on this sunday for our Pedders Day event.
PM me for a price, or give me a call (860-281-5519) This offer is only offered if you can be at the shop on Sunday at 9AM, for a complete Track 2 kit installed. The car must be a RWD car, (Sorry AWD guys) and the car will stay at the shop for the day. We will complete the installation on Sunday, so you can drive home, so no worries there.
I know it's a bit of short notice, but I went over things in my head, (scary place) and decided that it would be nice to have an LX apart for everyone to see when they stopped by.
Any questions feel free to post up, PM me, or give me a call.
This offer will be something that your not likely to see again, we are offering it right now as a bit of a promotional/educational tool to show people what is involved in the suspension, what the weak points are, and why things cost what they do.
Also, the first 10 LX's (Charger, Magnum, 300, Challenger) that show up to the shop for our Pedders day will get a $25 gift certificate for Pedders that day.
If you know of someone that may be interested, any help you can give us in getting together would be appreciated.

ha, ya, there are a crap load of bushings on these cars!
Start in the front, the wheel mounts to the car at 4 points,
1, Radius Rod Bushing is the forward most bushing in the car, and one of the biggest problems with the suspension, the bushing is very mushy from the factory, and has a tendency to crack fairly easy. We have seen a number of them ripped and cracking, and a couple of the other dealers have found them worse.
2, The lower control arm bushings are not as bad as the Radius Rod Bushings, but they go hand in hand with them, as when the radius rod bushing allows movement the control arm bushings also take a bit of a beating.
3 and 4, are the upper control arm bushings, there have been a few cars that had them ripped and damaged, but it's not a very common failure point. The advantage to our bushings are that they allow the front of the car to be 100% adjustable for camber and caster, as well as tighten up the top of the front suspension.
As you tighten the front wheels up in the well, it directly effects the steering inputs and reactiveness (i made that word up) of the front suspension.
The Lower shock bushings in the front are important since the sway bars attach to the shock, Any slop in the connection from the sway bar to the wheel will transfer in to slop and roll in the car. The sway bar connects to the sway link bushing, the sway link bushing connects to the link, and back to the bushing, then to the shock, then to the shock bushing, then through the control arm to the ball joint and finally to the knuckle and wheel assembly, that is a ton of points that allow the sway bar to not do it's job very well.
Bump steer kit has already been gone over, and doesn't need to be gone over again here.
Rear Suspension -
The entire rear suspension of the LX is removable as a unit in about 30 minutes with a lift. This is a good thing and a bad thing. Good since it's easy to remove, bad because it's mounted to the unibody of the car by 4 Sub Frame Mounts. The stock front mounts are very weak, are voided in the front and rear which will actually allow the rear sub frame to hit the unibody under certain conditions. Every RWD LX that we have done has marks from the sub frame hitting the body, and some are much worse than others.
With the cradle down you will see the 9 bushings per rear wheel that connect it to the rear sub frame. 9 BUSHINGS PER WHEEL!!!! I don't really need to get in to why these are important, but let's just say, they are good for a sloppy comfy ride, but if you want a car that performs while keeping it's road manners for daily driving, then Pedders Bushings are what you will want to replace the OE parts.
Our sway bars are adjustable, both from and rear.
GSR (Gas SportsRyder) dampers are oil and nitrogen dampers. They were designed specifically for the LX platform using the SRT8 as the performance baseline. They are tuned with a bias to control. The ONLY vehicles they fit are the LX series: Challenger, Charger, Magnum and 300C.
We offer 2 different front springs, and 5 rear springs, so we can give you the ride height and stance that you want.
