Is it really neccessary to cut the rear bump stops when you lower your
LX?

The rears were such a bear that I forgot to cut mine. I have never bottomed out even when hauling about 100 extra pounds in the rear not includiing the 30# box, 20# sub and amps.

It depends on how you lower your car. If you change the springs and keep the stock dampers, some springs will have you trim the bump stops in the rear, some won't. The best way to do it is to install new dampers when you install new springs.

I didn't cut mine and it was ok for several years..
