Colour breakdown

Assuming they made all 6400 for US, and 500 for canadian consumption does anyone have colour breakdowns?

I'm assuming from what's been posted, silver would be the rarest colour.

Hi, this is posted from another challenger board.

Mopar Muscle (August edition) stated that 7,051 2008 Challenger SRTs were built for the U.S., Canada, and Mexico. A breakdown of the colors is as follows:

4,137 Hemi Orange (58.6%)
2,206 Black Pearl (31.3%)
708 Silver Clear (10.0%)

I still can't seem to get sold verification that canada got exactly 500 units. One mod on that site who is with chrysler stated he sees 506 vins for canada so I think it is close. The rest would be destined for mexico. I've heard somewehre between 100 and 300 cars for them, which stacks up.

As a silver owner, I'm happy to see mine is a little more odd. :bahdumcha:

I realize that, but they are discontinuing it in the spring, so still limited.

The amount of 2008 Challengers are limited, the color "Hemi Orange" will continue in 09 .

I'm just going on what has been posted repeatedly on the Challenger forums, and confirmed by a dealer. Hemi orange is also listed along with B5 blue in the 2009 brochure as "limited availability".

Well Chally Girl, I'm a mod on one of those Challenger forums and I have seen absolutely nothing saying the "Hemi Orange" color is limited and the B5 is a late availabilIity(Spring) and only the SRT B5's will be limited to 1300.
Plum Crazy will come out in late 09 for 2010 models with 1,000 in SRT trim and nothing has been said about R/T's being available in "Plum Crazy Purple".
So check again and let us know where this info came from, I'm interested now !

Let me add that the B5 blue will be available on the R/T in "classic trim", but not on the SE.

I'm trying to find out the source of the info now. The forum I was referring to is challengertalk.com and it's a frequent discussion there.

A dealer in Texas (I believe) is the one that tons of people have been ordering their '09s from and he seems to be "in the know". He is telling people that hemi orange is ceasing availability at the end of the calendar year.

It says orange is limited availability.

I would love to get a "real" answer on this, but so far that's all I know.

yea but what i am trying to find out is when can we place an order for it. Or am i gonna have to wait till they hit dealers lots to buy them with rediculous pricing due to limited availability.

Kevin , the dealers will not be able to order until the B5 becomes available. What you can do is what one of the guys I know did. He went to our dealer and had him fill out the order request for a B5 SRT and as soon as it's available the dealer will submit it. I saw the order form with a note saying order as soon as available ! That will be SPRING ( possibly March).

Yeah, that's what I meant is that it's supposed to be available to order in the spring.
