Hey people of the lxforums!!!
This is a call to people with programing knowledge or have previous experiance "modifying" programs...

We have this thread started over at 300cforums.com and would like to invite anyone here that feels they have something to offer to post here and I will watch between the two sites and I'm hoping with a meeting of the minds we can change the nag screen and the inmotion menu.. Maybe even a custom startup screen... Who knows what we'll find out once we get into it..
Anyways, any help is appreciated!
It looks like Flexion has made some progress of atleast loading it into the correct viewer.
its hard to guess function names without realtime debugger. function _gotoDisclaimerPage could be the nag screen.. there's also a function _IsDisclaimerOKWasPressed. and btw there are also many hidden draw functions to display the menus on the screen, eg. for the VES (Video entertainment system) which is disabled by default (grey labels), and according to the function names there must be a hidden diagnostics/debug menu in the navigation software as well but dont ask me how to invoke this menu

I know the first step for a lot of us to do this semi-legally would be to purchase a Double Layer dvd-r drive so once the procedure is known, we can DIY. I am not too sure if the tool used officially decompiles the program which could be stepping close to DMCA etc...
So I know that most data dvd's aren't encrypted the same as a movie dvd is, so creating a backup of your own disc is well within the limits of most copyright laws in the US here. As for the editing of the data? Who says you can't customize your car's stereo?
So it looks like this routine for the disclaimer can be bypassed very easily by changing a few values here... It looks like if line 079616A0 is removed it won't loop back to the beginning of the routine waiting for enter to be pressed.

If you can get this to work and make it a very simple DIY, I would be willing to pay money for this option.

I'm game.
I hate having to press "ENTER" everytime I fire the thing up,
and I would also like full function of the search functions while moving. They didn't consider that maybe the PASSENGER could be navigating and searching on the system while the driver is driving!
I would like a little personal responsibilty applied to myself,
I don't like that Dodge is deciding for me if I have the abilty
to operate the NAV and drive at the same time.
What's next? Will they lock out the radio too?
So yeah, if this hack is succesful please let us know,
I want one!

Sounds good.
DCX didn't make the decision to lock out options while you're moving. Personal injury lawyers and the dumbest 12 jurors they can find did.

As one of the few SXT owners with Nav, I too would pay!
