Does anyone who uses the zex purge use a relay to power it? All of the other purge kits I have seen recommend one, but not the zex. I have it hooked to ignition. It works fine, I just have this weird thing happen that when I purge it, both my n2o gauge and wideband jump around, and the wideband actually then reads 50.8, like its seeing free air. But its only when I purge. Didnt know if I was taking away power from the gauges and thats why they act funny. The gauges get their power from ACC behind the radio. Any thoughts?

According to ZEX there purge solenoid only draws 1.8 amps. So no need for a relay. It sounds like you are getting some interference. If they are grounded at the same location seperate them from the purge. If that is not the case check your connection or find a stronger keyed hot.

I run everything off of the cigarette port in the ashtray. I use relays for the heater and NMU, but wired the purge direct.
