Took the Mag to the dealership for oil change.
Apparently the guy missed the hole  putting in oil and it got EVERYWHERE. I asked at the counter what was taking so long he said kid spilled some oil and was wiping it up. Thought no big deal. Look at last night and oil was EVERYWHERE. He didn't put alot of effort into cleaning it up. I wiped what I could just to calm myself down. After driving my car all day, I moved it this morning and found a big oil spot that would be directly under door hinges. That is how much oil is laying around.
Called service manager this morning. He was very polite, nice. Will drop off my car Monday they will give me a car and detail the engine. Not one hassle. No, there shouldn't be either but you know some dealers my give you some sort of grief.
Hopefully the detail comes out like I'm expecting because I clean that engine compartment every wash.
So it may have been an accident or carelessness on part of the guy doing the oil change but the service manager is doing what he can to make it right.
For that I give props and praise to Dave at Mt. Clemens Dodge in Mt. Clemens, MI.

Believe it or not... this is a GOOD thing!
You have found a great service dealer! How they handle things like this is what separates the gems from the goons!

Well let's see if they honor their offer and do a nice job about it.

It's good dealer. Not great a great dealer. A great dealer would have detailed the engine without having to have been brought to the problem by the ear.

Well I picked it up tonight. I would give them a A- on their clean up but then again I can be anal about someone else messing up my stuff. They wiped and looks like shined up all the black, all the painted areas. They did miss areas in crevices that you have to look for but that's me and accounts for the minus.
The service manager even touched up all my rock chips.
Overall I am very pleased the way the service manager handled everything from the time I notified him til I picked it up.

As a service manager myself, I'm glad to see this worked out for you. Everyone is quick to bash the dealer. I'm sure the tech was very embarassed and played down the amount of oil spilled or just didn't realize how much there was. Stuff happens, mistakes are made, everyone has a bad day now and then. You can't watch everyone all the time. It's how mistakes/screw ups are handled that sets a good service department apart from a poor or mediocre one.

I think that is the most likely explanation. My guess is that only the wrench knew how much of a mess it really was. He probably just told the cashier and didn't even mention it to the service manager.

I feel your pain. I will not let anyone touch my RT. I got mine with 3,800 miles, just turned 5,900 this past weekend. Did the oil change myself with Mobil synthenic and Purlator's best filter, kept all receipts. The only thing is the weight of the oil (5-20) it's runs like water. I would have felt better if I used 10-30 with Prolong. But not for now.
